CNBC: Trump: 'No,' Russia is not targeting the United States
President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Russia is no longer targeting the United States with cyber attacks, a conclusion that is at odds with the one repeatedly asserted by Trump's own intelligence services.
During a meeting of his Cabinet on Wednesday, Trump was asked by a pool reporter whether Russia is still "targeting" the United States.
"No," said the president.
Dan Coats, Trump's director of national intelligence, had a very different assessment as recently as Monday, however, saying in a statement, "We have been clear in our assessments of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and their ongoing, pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy."

WNU Editor: The main stream media is in melt-down mode again.
I suspect the claim is true, however, I am sure that the Russians are already in most of our key systems and could easily restart targeting us at a time of their choosing. Also, there likely will be personnel who are targeting us for other reasons and are not doing so on behalf of the Russian government.
ReplyDeleteThe media is in "melt down" mode because their precious world view is breaking down before their eyes. When confronted with reality and it does not suit one's cherished beliefs, anger is a very natural response. I actually think some of these people are in need of therapy.
