After months of threats, a group of conservative Republican lawmakers say they have introduced articles of impeachment of the deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein.
The move follows months of wrangling between members of the House Oversight Committee and the Justice Department over the investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 US presidential election.
The group, which includes Republican Rep. Mark Meadows of North Carolina and Jim Jordan of Ohio, have accused Rosenstein and the DOJ of not being fully cooperative with the House committee's demands related to the Russia probe.
Rosenstein oversees the special counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the federal probe of Russia's US-election interference.

WNU Editor: I am surprised that he is still in his job. He has lost the trust and confidence of the President, and he has alienated many Republicans who oversee the Justice Department. And while I doubt that the U.S. Senate will vote two thirds to impeach him, the very real possibility that the House of Representatives may impeach him should tell him that maybe his time is up.

Too little too late...... Trump needs to declassify all documents or there’s no chance for him. The fact that he hasn’t done it already tells me he got something to hide.
If Trump had something to hide that was significant, I think it would have been selectively leaked by now. After all the US (un)intelligence community leaks like a sieve and they generally don't like Trump. As such, the hypothesis that if there is something in there damming to POTUS it would have already been leaked seems valid.
Perhaps there is something in there that, while not of significance to national or economic security, is potentially embarrassing to him and may hurt his family. Under normal circumstances things such as this may be a good reason to try and keep things secret. These aren't ordinary circumstances. I agree declassify all documents.

The only chance is to impugn the character of the other person as you've tried to do here.
As to your assertion that US (un)intelligence personnel are decent and hard working, this may be true. The same could also be said about most members of POTUS's team and of POTUS himself.
Are they competent? The available evidence would seem to indicate no. 911, Iraq WMD, failure to properly anticipate the problems with Afghanistan, iraq, Libya, and a host of others, and I could go on. This is compounded by failure to properly reform these agencies.
Then again we haven't had another 911 style attack. This is mostly attributable to divine blessing, dumb luck, or some combination. Had this been the great skill of US (un)intelligence services they would have made sure we knew about. Remember the US government leaks like a sieve. Someone would want credit. If I need ti cite evidence that the US government leaks and is generally opposed to POTUS, this is like explaining the sky is blue. I haven't the time for such things.
Once the incompetence level within an organization reaches around 5% the inability of the organization to carry out its mission is compromised. In the case of a private entity it goes out of business. In the case of government entities more incompetence is bred.
The conclusions I reached as reflected in the original post are unchanged. You provide nothing in the way of new evidence that warrant a change to the conclusion.
