When evaluating threats I learned a long time ago you have to look at capabilities, not intentions. China is building capabilities designed to sink aircraft carriers, shoot down aircraft, invade islands and hit America with uncountable nuclear weapons, destroy American satellites anywhere in orbit and much more. That is the state now, wait for 10 years and threats are worse.

That by definition is a threat.

You'all are nuts. China is building the capabilities commensurate with its economic capabilities and growing world role. they also remember their history and the fact that historically, foreign invasions of China always passed through the South and East China Seas.

We, on the other hand, can't keep track of what we're doing now, never mind what we did 10, 15, 20 or more years ago. We can't remember that we have spread our military all over the globe and have appointed ourselves the aribiter of the behavior of the nations of the world. Iraq, Libya, Syria and other countries have already paid the price for our arrogant behavior. Now, we 're threatening nuclear powers Russia and China, all in defense of an economic paradigm, the Anglo-American neoliberal-free market system, which is dying. The Chinese have adopted a new paradigm, based on global infrastructure development, one we should join, given the sorry state of our own infrastructure. It's the US-EU defense of the dying paradigm which is the greatest threat to mankind, not China or Russia.
