The White House is monitoring the sudden gathering of Chinese forces at the border with Hong Kong, in a worrying sign of escalation.
The White House is monitoring the sudden “congregation” of Chinese forces at the border with Hong Kong, according to reports, following another night of unrest and clashes between protesters and police.
A senior US official who briefed reporters on the condition of anonymity said a number of units had gathered, but it’s unclear if they are security police or part of China’s military, Bloomberg reports.
It comes as Beijing accused the United States of inciting the increasingly unruly protests in Hong Kong, which began two months ago over a proposed extradition bill that could see citizens sent to the mainland.
Since then, demonstrations have evolved into a statement against Beijing’s influence in the operation of the relatively autonomous region.

WNU Editor: There is already a China military presence in Hong Kong. But to have a real impact on stopping the protests, the Chinese will need to deploy tens of thousands of soldiers, a deployment that will be quickly picked up by foreign intelligence services before it happens. What's my take. Beijing is not mentally prepared to send in military forces to crush the current protests in Hong Kong. But if these protests continue for another month, the option of using military force to crush the protests will be on the table, and they will use it.

To be honesty the clerisy could not give a damn about a few brown people in Hong Kong. They might say they do but look at what they are spending their time.
PS: The gathering at Sicily is not really about climate change. It is a mating ritual, where they preen and virtue signal like birds and find new spouses. It neatly explain the intercontinental distance flow to distant waterfronts.

Point is that the PLC can imprison all the Muslims and all the people of Hong Kong and keep ion trucking. The politicians and celebs in the US might utter a few trite condemnations, but they won't be near as loud as they have been about the cages Obama built.

Seems to be that China is attempting to annex Hongkong by force. Keep in mind that Hongkong was part of the British Empire and while it may have surrendered the province a few years back, its had its own independence from mainland China.
I think if this annex is successful for China, they will look to assert their military authority to other foreign occupied and influenced neighbors. The western powers have never been as weak as they are today and waiting much longer may see their capabilities expand.
There is no better time for the Chinese to take over as the worlds leading power and really take control of the planet. They have the manpower, the technology and most importantly the capability to out produce any other nation.
Not to mention their allies the Russian have recently finished trials of their new stealth fighter plane, one im sure that will out perform the F22. And with Americans falling way behind on anti air defenses and more importantly missile technology, the Chinese would quickly overwhelm any attempt to stop them and would within months take the fight to American soil.
Question is, do they have the balls to risk it all.
