ABC News Online: Russia says it hopes US will not release Trump-Putin calls amid President's impeachment crisis
Russia has voiced hope the US administration will not publish private conversations between the two nations' presidents, like it did with Ukraine.
The rough transcript of US President Donald Trump's call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy released by the White House this week shows Mr Trump urged Ukraine to "look into" his Democratic political rival Joe Biden. The July 25 call is now the focus of a US impeachment probe.
Asked if Moscow was worried the White House could similarly publish transcripts of Mr Trump's calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said "we would like to hope that it wouldn't come to that in our relations, which are already troubled by a lot of problems".

WNU Editor: Here is an easy prediction. The success of the Democrats to gain access to President Trump's phone call with the Ukraine President is going to open a Pandora's box that is going to seriously damage U.S. relations with every country in the world. Leaders want their conversations with other leaders private, especially on sensitive matters. So who would want to talk to a U.S. leader knowing to well that an opponent may gain access to these conversations? But it does not stop there. This sets a precedent that even private citizens who talk and/or consult with the President may have their conversations become public if a whistle-blower/leaker felt that it violated some principle.
On a side note. President Trump's communications have been put in a secured government server since 2017 (after his conversations with Mexico and Australia were leaked). This talk of a cover-up is a huge stretch, especially since it is not a secret that this is how his communications are handled (and why).

Fred,
ReplyDeleteIn a normal situation that is the case for innocent persons. But we do not live in a normal situation anymore. The vindictive hatred that now exists in Washington is unprecedented, and it is going to get worse. After the Mueller investigation admitted there was no Russian collusion the entire narrative that was built up for over two years fell apart, and many opponents to President Trump have (lost their minds) lost their minds.
Fortunately, the sane people in the Democrat party are now speaking out, and I suspect it is going to build up .... LISTEN: Gov. ReplyDeleteAll world leaders know their conversations and communication are being recorded. At least the smart ones. President Trump knew his conversation was being monitored. Question: how many people where in the room? Taking notes? Where going to be able to access the transcript before it was moved?
ReplyDeleteThe Editor is right. If you want true vindictive hatred done on a professional basis go Russia, his beloved Rhodina. There they reach out to foreign countries to murder enemies like the U.K. Incident. Here they just talk you to death. Woe is us!

Fred, you have turned into a rote, Trump-obsessed autistic troll. Spewing out links ad nauseam that no one here appreciates or reads. You offer no original commentary or content - other than to retort with "Girly Man" or some other simple vulgarity. Otherwise its just an incessant, annoying list of garbage.

Joseph Wilson, the former ambassador who set off a political firestorm by disputing US intelligence used to justify the 2003 Iraq invasion, died Friday, his ex-wife said. He was 69. Wilson's died of organ failure in Santa Fe, said his former wife, Valerie Plame, whose identity as a CIA operative was exposed days after Wilson's criticism of US intelligence that Saddam Hussein was attempting to purchase uranium, the AP reports. The leak of Plame's covert identity was a scandal for President George W. Bush's administration that led to the conviction of vice presidential aide Scooter B. Libby for lying to investigators and justice obstruction. The 2010 film Fair Game, based on the memoirs of Wilson and Plame, depicted the events, per NBC. President Trump pardoned Libby in 2018.

All those who spend their words on this site bad mouthing Fred are seriously under Trump Derangement Syndrome or are trolls or both. Either way, the truth is available. It is on each of you to deny the facts as painful as it may be. The best you can do is throw slander at Fred and Democrats, that is not fact based, it is cognitive dissonance. I suggest you take a breath, admit your mistake( to yourself) of being behind this President and his enablers and then decide to be for America and not in a cloud of deceit and arrogance and misplaced hate.
