Trump accuses Iran of 'blood lust' in U.N. speech but says there is path to peace

“America knows that while anyone can make war, only the most courageous can choose peace,” Trump said in an address to the United Nations General Assembly annual gathering of world leaders.

In his third annual U.N. appearance, Trump offered a more subdued tone compared to the bombast of his previous speeches to the U.N. in 2017 and 2018, looking to convey a more reassuring presence as he asks Americans for a second term next year despite a fresh push for his impeachment among some Democrats.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. Their very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be ‘cured’ against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals."

That is exactly why the Democrat Party is evil.

I do not write it, post it, or say it to merely being shocking.

1) Democrats want absolute power. They are willing to cheat and worse to get it.

2) They say they are here to help.

3) Their solutions do not work.

Anon and Russincal.. I agree with the sentiment that something inexplicable is going on in the Democrat party. I was Democrat leaning -all my life- but they had so many scandals, tried and we're caught red handed attempted to destroy so many people's lives hand in hand with the media - a coordinated attack on your liberties and way of life. I've been travelling to the US all my life (an European and don't vote over there but have family in the US).. what's happening is unprecedented.

One of the key reasons, I believe, is that mass media outlets is in direct competition with the online media and to get your (people like Fred's) attention they hyperinflate everything. A joke by Trump becomes a lie and earns five Pinocchio stars. It is ridiculous.

And when Maxine Waters - a high ranking politician - calls for the formation of mobs and intimidation of Trump voters and your media cheers her on, it is unbelievable

You have a serious issue over there abs if you don't fight back (peacefully, not like these leftist Antifa Bastards who hit elderly people just for voting differently), you will be enslaved by the left and a few years later you have communism.

This seems like an orchestrated attack from outside. Cnn ,as others have written here before, seems to have profited a lot from China over the last few years. Who else is involved in this? In my country and several other European countries our left gets financed by Russia. Our leftist media has direct connections to Russia and everyone knows it. They plant racial and Sex warfare issues in our minds to destroy the cohesion of our nations. Isn't the exact same happening on your side?

I just disagree with the "evil" bit. Democrats just seem to be in a bubble and brainwashed. Like Bill Maher said years ago about the republicans being in a bubble, this time it's the Democrats and 10x worse. It is scary.

Trump, Joe Biden, Hunter Biden And Ukraine: 5 Questions Answered : NPR
---Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), chair of the House Intelligence Committee, announced on Tuesday that an intelligence community whistleblower who allegedly has information about President Donald Trump’s misconduct in office would like to speak to the committee and has asked the acting director of national intelligence how to do so.

In a tweet posted Tuesday, Schiff said the Intelligence Committee is in contact with the whistleblower’s counsel and looks forward to the individual’s testimony.

The whistleblower’s complaint stems from initial allegations that Trump urged the president of Ukraine to open an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden, Trump’s potential 2020 opponent, for political purposes.

The NYT in trouble. There is no context or background. None. What was the story that angered the Egyptians?

Why go out to help someone from an organization that persecutes you? Suppose the WSJ and NYT were going after the same story in Egypt and it angered TPTB in Egypt. Personally, I would escort the WSJ journalist out and let the NYT journalist get caught, sweat it out in a jail for a several weeks, and then spring him. The NYT is garbage that published lies and innuendo. Why help them?

I worked for the government. They told us that the government's ability to help us limited. This was years ago.

Why should the government help a journalist preferentially, to a merchant seaman, businessman, missionary, business person, or vacationer?

Why is a journalist more important than Robert Levinson?

Are we going to dig into this story and find out 2 months form now that the presstitutes lied to us again?
