President Trump said Wednesday at a press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda that he was open to sending U.S. troops stationed in Germany to Poland.
'We're going to be reducing our forces in Germany. Some will be coming home and some will be going to other places, but Poland would be one of those other places,' Trump said in the White House Rose Garden.
Trump wants to take thousands of U.S. forces out of Germany because he says the United States bears too much of a financial burden for the deployment and criticizes the government in Berlin for buying Russian energy.

WNU Editor: Germany is saying this withdrawal will be sending the wrong message to the Kremlin .... German defense minister responds to US plans for a troop drawdown (Atlantic Council). This is the same Germany that has not kept its promises on NATO/defense spending for years, and is now expanding trade and the construction of a new natural gas pipeline to Germany.

Can anyone explain WHY American troops are in Germany? The Cold War is long over! If those men and women are there to protect from "evil Russia" - Germany has much much larger GDP than Russia does.
Or are those armies there to prevent a repeat of WW2? Are they guarding the Germans?
"Germany is saying this withdrawal will be sending the wrong message to the Kremlin "
Merkel's weak, underfunded and mismanaged military send the right message to the Kremlin?
Stationing Am forces all over the world is a contemporary form of colonialism. Our president, peeved about German leadership, punishing them by relocating those troops to Poland.
One can gain a bit of insight into the final destination of Germany's NATO funds by noting the size of Merkel's waistline.
And to Fred, why would any country want American troops in their country if what you write is accurate?
Without actual troops in Europe, would Feld Marshal Herr Colonel General Lapides tell us how Reforger is supposed to work or is all that equipment supposed to be "Pass Go, you collect a supply depot" for the Russians.

The US is not made out of money. It has quite a bit of money and more than say Russia, but for however much it has it still has to economize.
I don't know, but I wonder.
For someone who is in on overdrive with looking up NSFW stuff, how is it that they did not get married in the 1st 60 years of their life? That is strange and quite a mystery to me.
"Husband 20+ years older than wife 1.0%"
That is worldwide. Islam and polygamous societies skew things. So in the US it would be less than 1%. You see it with Hollywood and billionaires. Among the the middle class it is virtually unicorn status. Consider this
"Comparatively in Western societies such as the US and Europe, there is a trend of smaller age-gaps between spouses, reaching its peak average in Southern Europe of 3.3 years."

We are talking major outlier or an outlier among outliers. In statistics, when there is an outlier, you usually look for a cause. You dig.
Age disparity in sexual relationships
I've seen the 40 and 18 thing done with a certain small Christian group and it was all on the up and up. But some people treat religion more as a social club and a place to see and bee seen. If someone was a really great specimen, they would have been snapped up a long, long time ago. Also if they were a great specimen they would be a leader not a follower. I am just not seeing. It will remain a mystery.
Money!! That’s it. The EU wants those bases because the US military person spends their money there and helps the local economy. Same for US bases and states. Simple politics of money.
A retired soldier, who spent time in Germany, once told me that around a base Germans knew how to speak English. Why miss a sale!?!
If you were not around a base, Germans most often did not know how to speak English.
In the US most Democrats are against funding the military, but don't dare close the base in their district!
some busybody, yenta, low life seems to love to follow me and my marriage. Well, asshole: for all your generalizations about age disparities, I have been married 37 years and in fact today my son from this marriage just got married via Net ceremony...and then you say some dumb shit about how old I was before getting married. Not so. I had been married 21 years to another woman.
so go fuck yourself
tip: senators never want to deprive their states of money from the govt. Just ask Mitch, who gets more money for his state than any other state get. And the Dems support and always have full funding for our military. Now is Trump bring all those soldiers home? nope. And the 36 thousand troops in Japan? nope
ODD
Japan increased its budget. Also Japan pays 4.4 Billion to assist basing American troops. Some sources say 75% of the cost.
Germany pays 1 billion.
Japan has negotiated with Washington. Germany has not.
Japan still has to change its constitution in order to be a better ally. But they are spending more on defense. Germany is spending less.
So Trump is right as usual.
When Japan is no longer hobbled by its pacifist constitution and is able to support allies far afield and keeps on increasing its armed forces, we will see American troops coming back to the US as Japan continues to build up. With current constitution, if Japan wanted to help Thailand or Vietnam could it?
Fred, you never commented on how you would make Reforger something than a Russian resupply effort.
Do you even know what Reforger is, intel dude?
He's not intel, he's a REMF clerk.
Fred is not going to answer the question about Reforger. It has been 5 hours.
He is especially not going to answer, if the fanes he goes to for answers like the NYT and WaPo are silent on the subject. He needs better holy men.
When the Soviet army was on Germany's border they all for defense spending. Now the no good spawn of the Nazi's tell other countries to drop dead! Merkal is a Nazi ho!!!
