* Angela Merkel's government will discuss a 'joint response' with EU and Nato
* The Kremlin has played down poison findings and denied any involvement
Germany said today it has 'unequivocal proof' that Russian dissident Alexei Navalny was poisoned with the nerve agent Novichok.
Tests carried out at a military laboratory found evidence of the Soviet-era chemical weapon that was used to attack Sergei Skripal in Salisbury in 2018.
Navalny, 44, remains in a coma in a Berlin hospital nearly two weeks after collapsing on a plane in Siberia, which made an emergency landing when he suddenly fell ill.
Germany today condemned the 'alarming' poison plot and demanded an urgent explanation from Moscow, which has denied any involvement in the anti-Putin campaigner's illness.

WNU Editor: If Navalny was not flown out of Russia as quickly as he was he would be dead or in a vegetative state right now. From what I am reading he is now facing a long recovery period.

So he was poisoned and the Pissant said so. If the Herr Pissant makes Putin too uncomfortable or does something effective, Putin can cut off or throttle the Nordstream. So I do nit think Herr Pissant will do much of anything except jack its jaws.
ReplyDeletePutin could cause all sorts of trouble for Der Fraulein by throttling gas delivery, Ti could be a technical problem or an accident. Putin would say something like "So sorry. Better luck next time." Putin would have plausible deniability and Derrrr Fraulein would have to pick winners and losers for what gas does get through. That would make problems for Der Mädchen and her coalition.
Nothing will be done other than some virtue signaling ... killing the German people/economy of course. Merkel is good for the latter.
How is the weather in St. Petersburg this time of year, my find Russian troll?
ReplyDeleteProve me wrong. Merkel will do nothing.
