The South African 'super' COVID-19 variant has now spread to Maryland with the state recording its first case in a woman in Baltimore and the third case confirmed overall on US soil, the same day the nation surpassed 26 million cases of the virus.

Governor Larry Hogan announced Saturday that state health officials had confirmed a case of the new B.1.351 variant in an adult female living in the Baltimore metro region who had no recent travel history overseas, sparking concerns that the strain is already spreading in the community.

The case comes just two days after two South Carolina residents became the first Americans found to have contracted the South African strain, despite also having no recent travel history and no known connection to each other.

WNU Editor: Another terrible day in the U.S. .... 166,000 new cases recorded and 3,600 deaths in the last 24 hours. The U.S. death toll is now 438,239. I hope I am wrong. But it looks like the U.S. is about to face a third Covid wave, and this one has the makings to be the worst one.

2nd wave was in August/September.

3rd wave started in December

Dr. Anthony Fauci Tells the Teacher's Union Biden's Goal to Open Schools in 100 Days May Not Happen

Septagenarians almost octogenarians teach school, but other people spread fear as a political officers.

So septagenarian was sitting next to another 'teach', who was COVID positive. They quarantined for a week and now they are going back.

Why are they going back? Because the official class teacher is hiding out. They are teaching remotely, because they can. The system allows them, They also have a 6 month old and they can about a 60 round trip. I think it is about fear somewhat but also about lifestyle, new child and commuting.

I have a hard time believing that COVID is as dangerous as they say it is. The false positives on the OCR tests are between 10$ to 33% or worse.

Agree, what the gubment and WNU here won't say is that the survival rate is 99%. I would take those odds to Vegas. In the year since this flu started , I literally know of only ONE person who has had it, and that was a mild version.
