U.S. State Department Warns Americans To Leave India Now Due To The Rapid Spread Of Covid-19

Bloomberg: U.S. Tells Citizens to Leave India as Covid Crisis Deepens

 * Level 4 advisory is highest issued by U.S. State Department

* Global companies also stepping in to rush supplies, funds

The U.S. told its citizens to get out of India as soon as possible as the country’s Covid-19 crisis worsens at an astonishing pace.

In a Level 4 travel advisory --- the highest of its kind issued by the State Department -- U.S. citizens were told “not to travel to India or to leave as soon as it is safe to do so.”

There are 14 direct daily flights between India and the U.S. and other services that connect through Europe, the department said. Indian authorities and hospitals are struggling to cope with unprecedented Covid infections and deaths.

Official data on Thursday showed new cases rose by a staggering 379,257 over the prior 24 hours, another record, while 3,645 additional lives were lost. More than 204,800 people have died.

  1. If they leave, don't they spread the virus? As such, it would seem to make more sense for the State Department to encourage them to remain in place until the pandemic runs it's course. After all cult leader Fauci once told us COVID-19 is the greatest threat we've ever faced and other government officials didn't act to tell him to cease with his fear mongering. Where is Fauci to tell these people to remain on place? Why is the government telling people to leave? Essentially the government's actions kn this doesn't match the rhetoric. They do NOT believe the threat is as dire as we're told it is and the US government isn't alone in this. There obviously seem to be other factors at work here.

  2. in America, about 8,000 people die a day from all causes. If India, who has 1,300,000,000 people, has the same death rate as America than 32,000 people die there every day from all causes. so about 10% of their deaths are now from this novel cold. Here in America, in the beginning of this novel cold virus, we thought the Homeless were gonna get slaughtered but not so. Very few from the homeless population have died from this cold. I am guessing they have a lot of poor folks in India but they are not the ones at risk. 4% of Americans are over 80 years old. in India about 1% are over the age of 80. That means they have 13,000,000 million people in the high risk group. India has a 4% obesity rate which is about 52,000,000 high risk folks. How do you social distance in a country like India? Do they have the facilities to isolate 13,000,000 seniors? Me thinks the media has the story they want so they can keep telling American's to wear masks.

  4. India's population is approximately 4X that of the US. As such, India's reported case totals of approximately 390K yesterday would be approximately 91K for a population the size of America. There have been times when US reported case have surpassed 100K. When locked at I'm perspective, this harder seems anything that we need to panic over.

Also, those in the US who are paying attention know our cases and deaths from this are WAY overstated. Is India'd situation similar? While religious views certainly should be respected, many of the deceased are being cremated meaning is going to be difficult if not impossible to do an independent audit to determine how these people actually died.

Allegedly India's hospital system is becoming overwhelmed. Really? When America's daily reported cases were around 100K, with a very few and and fleeting isolated exceptions our hospital systems never came close to being overwhelmed. Why should India's especially when they're receiving massive international assistance. I'm contrast, America received nothing but contempt.

If the conventional wisdom regarding countries such as India's and Russia's cases and deaths being understated is truly correct, this would be profound. Since we know US cases and deaths are overstated, this would mean the US has done a phenomenal job on dealing with this!! Much of the planning and leadership that made this possible happened during the hated Trump Administration!! Also, we are vaccinating at an incredible rate!! Muxh of the leadership, planning, and infrastructure that made all of this possible happened during the despised Trump presidency!!

Should we have another "wave" we are now without Trump's leadership and this could be a HUGE problem. Of course the leadership class likely privately tecigbizes Trump's contributions and I'm moments of clarity and desperation may prudently look to him for leadership and guidance.
