President Xi Jinping launched preparations for a celebration of 100 years of China's Communist Party behind closed doors, boasting that the country has beaten Covid while ignoring the fact it was the source of the virus.
The coronavirus first emerged in the central Chinese city of Wuhan before it spread across the world and has resulted in the deaths of nearly four million people but has now been virtually quashed in China.
Jinping led the applause at Beijing's Bird's Nest stadium late on Monday for a celebration of Party history, with China's rebound from the coronavirus given special treatment during the spectacle.

Interesting that Fred is quoting Queerty. It brings to mind how dishonest liberals in general and liberal gays in particular are.
The State of California has stated it will not do business in Florida. Its employees will not go to conference there. California has banned 2/3rds of the states. It is like the most unpopular person banning people from his fabulous beach party, when no one showed up anyway.
Newsom and liberals are upset that they won't let transgendered women steal medals from, women in sports. Newsopm and other lying lieberals pretend that Florida is not gay friendly. there is a huge gay scene in Florida and lots of Pride Parades.
But lie-berals have put everyone on notice that transgendered women in sports is the hill they want to take or die trying.
They think it is a wedge issue, they will win. It is w edge issue, but they will lose Feminists have had enough with the lies of the Democrats. Winning track meets is tied to scholarship and this money. Even if all college is free, winning a track meet is still worth a lot. Lie-berals are trashing title IX to save Title IX.
Does it make sense? It does to lie-0berals, because they are deep thinkers.
