True North: Canada calls for “gendered” approach to combatting terrorism in UN submission
In a recent submission to the United Nations Security Council, the Canadian government advocated for a “gendered and intersectional” approach to preventing terrorism and violent extremism.
Canada made the submission on July 28, 2021 during an informal meeting of the Council on “preventing terrorism and violent extremism through tackling gender stereotypes, masculinities, and structural gender inequality.”
“As speakers have noted, gender stereotypes, masculinities, femininities, and gendered inequalities have long been exploited by violent extremist and terrorist groups to their own ends,” claimed the submission.

WNU Editor: As a Canadian I am the first to admit that I live in a very special country (sarcasm alert).
If all the Muslim women went on strike until jihadis stopped beating them of killing everyone, it would work.
ReplyDeleteOr if the women would cut the balls off the jihadis, when the they sleep after having raped their wives.
The subject has been broached in chat rooms wistfully before evaporating faster than a snowball in Hell. The people suggesting it also downplay it. They know it will never happen.
So what to make of Trudeau. He is grand standing. He is as dangerous as Ned Price and Jake Sullivan. He does not quite have the pencil neck, but in all other characteristics he is the same.
He is a useless dick.
Exactly what does this even mean?
ReplyDeleteI got my MA in International Security from King's College London and we spent a full week on a "gendered" approach to weapons proliferation. We read serious papers arguing that state vs. state arms races are really just a manifestation of competition between powerful men by seeing who can build the largest phallus/phalluses (missiles).
ReplyDeleteThe knowledge I gained from this proved absolutely worthless and I can't believe that an academic journal would publish such lazy and stupid 'research'. It amounted to an opinion piece of no use to any professional, and just enabled a small group within academics who otherwise can't grasp international security, arms races, deterrence, diplomacy, etc. to feel like they understand what's REALLY going on.
Such a joke.
It means that Trudeau is gratuitously pandering for votes among women and emasculated men (mainly white in both cases) in Canada ahead of his snap election.
ReplyDeleteThere is no metric with his state goal. After posturing and stating his goal over and over, he cannot say that x number of women were lifted out of poverty, Y number less women were beaten, or z number of less jihadi attacks was the result. It can only be measured and judged successful by other liberals.
Oh, I don't know though. I think that this approach could well be plausable. Let's take a moment to get in touch with our feminine sides, I'm talking to the blokes & women of a certain persuasion here. How can we instantly dismiss this kind of research if no army in the world has attempted these non violent approaches to war & terrorism. Picture this, instead of fire fights & artillery bombardments, both sides could settle their diffences by having aggressive & manly competitions in basket weaving & flower arranging. In place of hand to hand bay'net fighting we could achieve exactly the same results through the medium of dance. Keep ducking 🙈

ReplyDeleteA leader in the modern world. Certainly not one who wrestled grizzly bears and fought with Indians. Now it's fighting red light choked roads and appointments with the hair stylist.
ReplyDeleteTrudeau is a visionary
ReplyDeleteHe wants what's good for you
And you'll love it....or else!
Hail Turd Trudeau! Hail!!
