WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden will unveil a wide-ranging humanitarian and military aid package for Ukraine on Wednesday, during a visit by that country’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to the White House.

The package features $60 million worth of newly designated military aid, including Javelin anti-tank missiles, small arms and ammunition.

Biden informed Congress late last week of his intent to release the funds to help Ukraine defend its eastern border against Russian-backed separatists.

Another $45 million will be in the form of humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians impacted by the separatists’ guerrilla war, said a White House official who requested anonymity to preview the visit.

WNU Editor: I do not expect much from this meeting. Ukraine President Zelensky wants US aid and a pathway to NATO membership. He will get a few bucks, but no NATO membership.

  1. This is not about that, wnu
Biden will want assurances regarding the billion dollars he held up.. remember the Democrats impeached trump for asking the Ukrainians to look into that deal.
When people act like that you know you're right over the target.

  2. GOP douses Afghanistan withdrawal with misinformation....

President Biden skipped a ceremony at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware for 13 Americans killed last week, - A TOTAL FABRICATION

Taliban hanging someone from an American helicopter, - NO BASIS IN REALITY

US$80 billion in military equipment being left for use by the Taliban. - BOTH FACTUALLY AND MATHMATICALLY INCORRECT

Military dogs being left behind. - COMPLETELY UNTRUE ,

  4. Washington (CNN)The Justice Department on Wednesday secured its 50th guilty plea in the January 6 insurrection, a key milestone as it nears its 600th arrest in the massive investigation.

In the eight months since the attack on the US Capitol, the investigation has ballooned into a nationwide manhunt for the Trump supporters and right-wing extremists who stormed the building and grounds, assaulted dozens of police officers and temporarily halted the certification of President Joe Biden's victory.

Nearly 600 people from 44 states and Washington, DC, have been charged in federal court, according to CNN's latest tally, with authorities announcing new arrests on a near-daily basis.

Capitol riot defendants raise more than $2 million from crowdfunding

The 50th guilty plea was finalized Wednesday in DC District Court when Abram Markofski pleaded to a misdemeanor. He admitted that he traveled from Wisconsin to DC, attended then-President Donald Trump's rally and then illegally breached the Capitol building.

Prosecutors are working to resolve many of the lower-level cases, and most of the 50 guilty pleas are for nonviolent rioters. Meanwhile, cases are progressing against defendants who allegedly attacked police or are members of right-wing extremist groups, like the Proud Boys.

  5. 2 PM aka Fred

The FBI dropped the insurrection charges. So what insurrection?

THE FBI DROPPED THE INSURRECTION CHARGES. SO WHAT INSURRECTION?

OUT FO THR 600 ARRESTED 20 ARE NOT BEING CHARGED. Word on the street are those are the FBI informants. So with 20 FBI informants plus at least several Leftists agitators, how much were protesters egged on? Were they entrapped?

  6. Either people are charged with insurrection or they are not.

If no one is charged and convicted with insurrection, there was no insurrection.

The reason why the FBI dropped it, is because they wanted no cross examination. They were scared their informants would be put on the stand.

So is the FBI as dirty in the USA as the CIA is in Haiti?

  7. It doesn't matter if they were part of a demonstration .. none of them had weapons and any plans beyind taking selfies, were let in by the police, and left after they were told to leave.

Aside from the dude who left a dump on Pelosi's office, and the couple guys who took some stuff, none should have been longer than a month in jail - without seeing a judge. And not in the conditions for crying out loud, they get treated far worse than murderers and rapists.

This unequal application of the law under Democrat tyranic rule must end. Every day that these political prisoners are held just goes to underline how power drunk and tyrannical these election thieves are. These forced vaccination gangsters, these drug pushers, these criminals who violate the constitution.

    Enough!
