WNU Editor: There is no common ground between the two sides. And there is no movement in Ukraine itself to resolve the conflict. I see U.S. - Russian relations getting worse. And heaven help us if a "military incident" occurs between the two sides.

ReplyDeleteAll I can add is that I don't think it's a good idea at all to consider adding Ukraine to NATO.
ReplyDeleteAdd Ukraine to NATO or do not add, Ukraine will have problems and Russia will be one of the reasons.
ReplyDeleteThis is a pissing contest between the Duma and the Congress. It is similar to the pissing contest between the Senates of Rome and Carthage. It is like Highlander. There can only be one. The language and culture argument is a pretext. Moscow cares not for the ethnic Russians on the ground than China did for the ethnic Chinese in Cambodia. It supported Pol Pot as he wiped out ethnic Chinese in Cambodia. Many in the American Congress do not care about about the population. It is why we have the term fly over country.
Russia needs to be confronted.
