Were The Experts Right That NATO Expansion Would Lead To War?

Caitlin Johnstone: Experts Warned For Years That NATO Expansion Would Lead To This

Chris Hedges introduces his latest article for Scheer Post, titled “Chronicle of a War Foretold”, with the following:

“After the fall of the Soviet Union, there was a near universal understanding among political leaders that NATO expansion would be a foolish provocation against Russia. How naive we were to think the military-industrial complex would allow such sanity to prevail.”

Imperial narrative managers have been falling all over themselves working to dismiss and discredit the abundantly evidenced idea that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was due largely to Moscow’s fear of NATO expansion and the refusal of Washington and Kyiv to solidify a policy that Ukraine would not be added to the alliance.

WNU Editor: I know how these "experts feel". I have been warning for years that if the Donbas war was not resolved, it would lead to this. And now we are here.

Russia could not sue Ukraine over a holiday?

Putin is a lawyer by training. He never once thought of suing for the so called breach of the Minsk accords?

Maybe he was afraid f getting sued back by I don't know ... Victor Yushchenko

  3. If the US and had been intent on surrounding Moscow they would have done it by now.

Georgia asked to become part of NATO 14 or more years ago. No one is talking about it.

Ukraine was not going to become part of NATO in Putin's life time. Not at the rate things were going. NATO was dying and then Putin resurrected it.

Germany cannot keep its planes up. So much for NATO.

I looked at why Germany only has 10 give or take of 128 Eurofighters mission capable. It is mainly due to a sealant not attainable ,because a company has been sold. No engineer wants to sign on the dotted line. Because they do not have the right education or they have gone soft. They won't sign their nname for a substitute. They have that much confidence in their education and experience.

German or European did not contract for the data rights for the sealant. The company owning the sealant does not feel it is profitable and and discontinued production.

Some combination of acquisition, engineers or politicians. Kelo is law in the US. Kelo exists but America and Europe cannot reproduce sealant. If they can it will take them 6 months to 2 years.
