EU Parliament Declares Russia A 'State Sponsor' Of Terrorism

Politico: European Parliament declares Russia a ‘state sponsor of terrorism’ as Putin launches fresh attacks on Ukraine

The EU Parliament declaration is symbolic but it does call for new sanctions and further isolation of Russia.

KYIV — The European Parliament on Wednesday adopted a resolution declaring Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism because of Moscow’s strikes on civilian targets, at the same time as Kyiv’s military administration reported three people were killed and half a dozen injured in a Russian missile strike on Ukraine’s capital.

“The deliberate attacks and atrocities committed by Russian forces and their proxies against civilians in Ukraine, the destruction of civilian infrastructure and other serious violations of international and humanitarian law amount to acts of terror and constitute war crimes,” the Parliament said.

The resolution was adopted with 494 votes in favor, 58 against and 44 abstentions.

  1. Ironic how the US and France escape this designation after destroying so many countries and lives over the decades.

  2. When the servant of the master is worst than the master itself.

Sadly EU parliament is full of idiots and unspeakeble fascist-minded, eight years of negations on ukranian neonazist troops in the civil war, thirty years of anticommunism propaganda, ending in revisionism of History for the deligt of great USA capitalists and his nazi-puppies, pushing also Russia in that way.

The traitor Kiev regime and his allies has thrown in the dustbin the Crushev reconciliation of 1956 and over 70 years of peace, and I never forgive that thing. Liberal democracies have again betray peace and decency.

In the good and the bad, for 46 years URSS was the real peacekeeper of Europe.

  3. Why take anything Young Coomunist writes seriously. I think of YC as a spastic brat or "Spaz" for short.

Here is the main sticking point. YC could live as a communist and yet he refuses. If he does not live near a commune, he could start one.

YC could live at Twin Oaks.

Inside Off-the-Grid Virginia Commune Where Everything From Housing to Child Care Is Shared

YC could start a commune and they could pool their money to buy a factory and farmland. With any profit from business transactions they could by additional farmland and businesses and thereby enable more people to live the communist dream.

    Yet YC just bellyaches.

Now that is interesting. It looks like YC is a freaking Russian.

  4. Russia is a disappointment, they never went to court or to the UN. If they did, they do not give so much as the old college try.

No straight to guns since 2014 and they wonder why they are now labeled.

  5. Found on the internet.

"Moldova has lost power, because generation and transmission in Ukraine wast struck by Russian missiles. Moldova was not directly attacked. Moldova already has diplomatic conflicts with Russia over Trans Nistria, so add this to the list."

Russia wonders why it is on the list.

  6. "The EU has declared Russia a terrorist state. Immediately afterwards the European Parliament was hit with a cyber attack, and a Russian group has claimed responsibility - rather proving the point."

    Can't make this up

  7. Right, the CIA funded ISIS, the State Dept. killed Libya--two huge, blatant terrorist acts in past ten years...but Russia is the terrorist state.
