Moscow Times/AFP: Ukraine to Limit Moscow-Linked Religious Groups: Zelensky
Ukraine will move to impose limitations on religious organizations in the country which have links to Russia, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his nightly address on Thursday.
"The National Security and Defense Council has instructed the government to propose to [parliament] a bill on proscribing activities in Ukraine by religious organizations affiliated with centers of influence in Russia," Zelensky said.
"National security officials should intensify measures to identify and counteract the subversive activities of the Russian special services in the religious space in Ukraine."

1) It is the Guardian and it regularly beclowns itself.
2) It was the soviet era and that was over 30 years ago. People from that era like Putin might try to recreate such circumstances, but that would have to be proven. But it at least would be suspected.

It is sad, since the Catholic church went to crap. It could not be worse than if Francis fornicated with pigs and crapped all over the Vatican in the nude.
This is part of the world wide culture war.
Zelinski is pro LBGT. xtz, and the Russians are traditional conservatives.
The Ukraine is just one of the battle grounds in this fight.
If the west wins this they will say,
" Look we took down that misogynist, white supreamist racist Russian culture. We are great!! Nothing can stop the progressive wave."
They will then feel emboldened to destroy the rest of western culture and traditionalism.
If the west Wins this war,
(it will not be the Ukies, they will loose too)
It will be a major blow to 2000 years of western civilization.
