RT: Prominent Russian military blogger killed in St. Petersburg blast
At least 19 people were reported injured by a suspected IED explosion in a city center café
Leading Russian military correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky (real name Maksim Fomin), has been reportedly killed in an explosion in Saint Petersburg on Sunday.
RIA Novosti has claimed, citing a security source, that the blogger died in an attack on the city's ‘Street Bar’ café, which also left more than a dozen injured.
The venue belongs to "Wagner" PMC founder Evgeny Prigozhin, according to local news outlet Fontanka.
Moscow daily Kommersant says this was confirmed by his Concord catering company in 2020.
Tatarsky joined the Donbass militias back in 2014 in the wake of the Maidan coup in Kiev.
He has since become known in Russia as a blogger and a correspondent reporting on the situation in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Tatarsky has also authored several books.

WNU Editor: Leading Russian wary correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky (real name Maksim Fomin) had many contacts in the Kremlin, the Russian military, and the Donbas political/military leadership. His coverage of the war is well known in Russia, and he is very pro-Russian. Vladlen Tatarsky also had over 500,000 followers, and was always a must place to go to get a different perspective of the war that was independent from Ukrainian and Western news organizations.
I remember him for his criticisms of the Russia war effort in the first 8 to 9 months of the war .... a criticisms that was to be later proven right. In the past few months he shifted to supporting the Russian military strategy in the war, specifically on the Russian military focusing its efforts to destroy the Ukrainian army rather than seizing territory. He was always on the front lines, and I must admit that I am surprised that he has lived for this long.
As to who killed him? In the past year many pro-Russian officials have been assassinated by Ukrainian hit squads in the regions that Russia now controls in Ukraine. Media and war correspondents on the Russian side also know that they are high priority targets. Independent war correspondent Patrick Lancaster has mentioned more than once on his YouTube channel (link here) that he is a high priority target for the Ukrainians.
The Western media is saying that a Russian anti-war protester has been arrested for this killing. But my gut is telling me that like the assassination in Moscow of Russian journalist Darya Dugina last year (link here), a Ukrainian intelligence or military link to the murder will be found.

Way to go WNU. So you support Fomin
Not a good look
You must be a Lineral/Democrat. Your either with us or against us, right?
"we will kill everyone," Who would support such a statement 10:34?
You?
Himmler?
Pol Pot?
Whoops, just seen that it was a quote. My apologies
Apology accepted. I'll take partial responsibility for not improving formatting (spacing, etc) and otherwise, to make the fact that it was quote. As they said in speech class, communication is a 2 way street.
I really do not like Fomin. Kind of a moot point now. I cannot live in such a world. My spouse is of another race, another religion and from another political system. (Pretty much bracketed.), as such I cannot live in a world as described or desired by Fomin.
In Formin's defense, maybe he is just angry and got carried away.
If forced to live in such a world quote Shakespeare and make Foam'n look like piker.
There you go again.
You must be a hilter Stalin loving Commie, right?
The guy wont be missed. WNU might miss him, I hear he's a big fan.
Regardless; would not be surprised if this was domestic terrorism. The WNU editor wants us to believe that every man woman and child supports Russia in its efforts. That's simply not the reality.
oh gag me, scum buckets.
"Counter-terror officials in Russia have declared the incident a terror attack, which they claim was planned by Ukrainian special services and involved "collaborators" from the Navalny Anti-Corruption Foundation.
The non-profit group, which has investigated corruption among high-ranking Russian officials, was founded by opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who is currently serving a jail sentence in Russia for alleged fraud and contempt of court."
There's your proof this was a false flag event, which the Russians are using to put heat on Navalny.
They have pictures of Saint Fomin in the Kremlin during a posh event. Doing what Madcow does in America was this guy's route to fame, fortune cookies, and respectability. He carried water for the Kremlin. a few criticism here and there to make it look real, but a Kremlin shill.
Tobias Tischbier cried last night.
