BBC: Turkey backs Sweden's Nato membership
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has agreed to support Sweden's bid to join Nato, the military alliance's chief Jens Stoltenberg says.
He said the Turkish leader would forward Sweden's bid to parliament in Ankara and "ensure ratification".
Meanwhile, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said: "I am very happy, it is a good day for Sweden."
Turkey had previously spent months blocking Sweden's application, accusing it of hosting Kurdish militants.
As one of Nato's 31 members, Turkey has a veto over any new country joining the group.

so I wonder why suddenly they changed their minds? Just 2 days ago they were saying "no" unless Turkey was given EU membership.
I would think news about EU accession is coming soon. Sweden didn't hand over their elected MP "terrorists" as was previously demanded by Istanbul, so I think some kind of larger deal was struck regarding EU membership and the Syrian dirty war.
I'm stunned and at the same time not. I guess we got a very good deal on something. This is... Well.. For a god reason; an end of an era.
Turkey in the EU means millions more being packed into the west. Having no allegiance to the countries they invade means a one world globalist government is closer.
