Many Ukrainians have volunteered to fight - but there is still a shortage
DNYUZ/The Telegraph: Ukraine’s army is running out of men to recruit, and time to win
The war in Ukraine is now one of attrition, fought on terms that increasingly favour Moscow. Kyiv has dealt admirably with shortages of Western equipment so far, but a shortage of manpower – which it is already having to confront – may prove fatal.
Broadly speaking, Kyiv’s highly anticipated counter-offensive has gathered much-needed momentum in recent weeks, with hard-fought gains around the strategically important village of Robotyne.
If this falls, the road to the Azov sea will be in sight. If Ukrainian forces can reach the coast, they will split the land-bridge connecting Russia with Crimea, potentially routing Moscow’s troops.

WNU Editor: The border is closed for Ukraine males of fighting age to leave the country. The country has more than enough men to recruit (i.e. conscript). The problem right now is that many are reluctant to directly fight this war .... Ukraine war: The men who don't want to fight (BBC).
Talk about war crimes. Sending in three generations of men and women to die in a fight none of them wanted or voted for. They aren’t fighting for their country, they are fighting for England and US interests.

DeleteThe people in the land they are “fighting” for don’t want anything to do with Ukraine. Those areas would be ungovernable by the Kyiv regime and Zelensky said no negotiations under any circumstances. What legitimate leader of any country would send hundreds of thousands to die without any intention to negotiate for land they could never govern? Facking insanity.

Love how they say this. What they do not say is that This is just the front line trace of the first defensive belt and there are two more to go.
AND The Ukies deployed the 82nd brigade , thier LAST reserve unit. Which was the last NATO equipped brigade out of 9. That means they have all probably been mauled, since none have broken through the defense belt in total.
Now they are wailing they do not have the manpower? What did you expect.... a cake walk?
So for manpower and equipment.....Where are they going to pull a rabbit out of thier hat?
Crews need to be trained. There is no return to Grafenwier for 6 months training on western equipment. They lost about 50K in the last 3 months.
So it is a valid question. Where are they going to get more men? More importantly , trained men? Remember the interview with the Polish training officer? Not good.
They need experienced troops, Not just for the break thru of the up coming 2 defense lines , but the exploitation force....
Then they have to move through Russian controlled territory all the way to AZOV.
Said this before.
There is only one force that has the AirPower , manpower and equipment to ensure a Ukrainian victory, that is NATO....
It is now more than evident, that Ukraine cannot do this by itself
I do not endorse the following... BUT
You want the Ukraine to "win"
Yo better start pushing for NATO to enter the war.
Why do I not endorse a NATO entry?
...there will be consequences.
nice recruiting pic in BBC article.
ReplyDeleteDo you ever wonder why they don't make those recruiting ads showing a guy covered with mud and with his brains blown out?
It is much more realistic than a cute chick in camouflage.
