VOA: 24 Attacks Target US Forces in Iraq, Syria

Pentagon — U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria have been attacked with drones or rockets at least 24 times in recent days, including at least three attacks on Monday, according to U.S. defense officials.

At least five of these attacks were launched after U.S. forces struck two facilities in eastern Syria used by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and affiliated groups during the early morning hours of Friday.

None of the attacks carried out since the U.S. retaliatory strikes on Friday have caused casualties or damage, according to defense officials.

The latest attack on Monday used multiple rockets to target al-Asad Air Base in western Iraq, a defense official told VOA on condition of anonymity due to security sensitivities.

  1. I do not understand, Barack drew a redline. The Mouth of Barack made the official announcement?

Oh wait!. Joe slurred the delivery. Those English as a second language types, did not understand what grandpa was mumbling.

It 's that damn stutter. No foreign leader understands a damn thing grandpa utters.

  2. The US Iraqi war made the middle east so much safer. Thank Dubya Bush for that. Oh and Colin Powell, that fraud was laid to rest with hero honors when his big accomplishment was lying to the world about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and also the death and maiming of over 100,000K US troops. Time for US troops to "get the fuck out" of the Middle East. Israel can handle things on their own, don't you think?

  3. Why do we have bases in Syria again? Are we just trespassing or what? We adamantly support territorial integrity in Ukraine, but perpetual "use of force in self-defense in a non-consenting state" like Syria is fine...sovereignty of a UN member state...pfft.

"The Kremlin’s actions in Ukraine are a direct assault on the UN Charter and its key principles: sovereignty, territorial integrity, and peace and security for states both great and small...In defying these principles, Russia seeks to undermine the international system itself."

    International system XD

    1. The US didn’t stand for Russian forces in Cuba, so why should Russia Stan for NATO in Ukraine? The simplicity of your kind is disturbing 😳

    2. @Alex. The uninformed and delusional, at least pertaining to the Ukraine conflict.

  4. There were and are Russian forces in Cuba. That was not the problem. The problem was Russian nuclear forces in Cuba.

There are no American nukes in Ukraine. Although given the level of stupidity in the Kremlin and the trolls they employ, there should be.

    1. It’s called precedence and prevention you silly goofball. Not to mention US administrations for years demonizing Russia and calling for “regime change” despite being Democratically elected. Why do you think the Wagner coup lasted only 24 hours? No support for it in Russia. Had there not been conflict in Ukraine, it would have become a NATO member and voila, Nukes only a few hundred klicks from Moscow.

  5. Moscow could have joined NATO. Probably would have ended up running it. Seriously, ended up running it when you consider the calibre of politicians like Kamala, Biden and others.

But no.. Shit for brains had to take a dump. Open up his cranium and refill the skull cavity with his shit.

Germany ... They were well on their way of getting rid of their military. Malign neglect.

France... Seriously gay boy? Macron is gayer than a 3 dollar bill. He announced the French withdrawing from Mali, because it was too hard. The only reason they want to be in Niger, is because the new junta told them to leave. Otherwise, Macron would have found an excuse to leave.

Britain ... was getting rid of its tanks.

The US ...Social Democrats in the malnamed Democrat party ... Can you see those turds with a string military?

All Russia had to do was play nice for awhile. One trick pony. shift for brains. They can't

  8. Uncle joe is on his way out. I am not concerned with that faygele. He is gone in 14 months or sooner. The DNC machine is the concerning issue.

If the Democrats get their back up and they usually have, people will leave well enough alone if he is gone. Not enough Republicans have am killer instinct. The Tuttle is not a killer unless there is something slower and weaker than it.
