Time - Ukraine President Zelensky ‘Feels Betrayed’ By The West

Time: ‘Nobody Believes in Our Victory Like I Do.’ Inside Volodymyr Zelensky’s Struggle to Keep Ukraine in the Fight

Volodymyr Zelensky was running late.

The invitation to his speech at the National Archives in Washington had gone out to several hundred guests, including congressional leaders and top officials from the Biden Administration. Billed as the main event of his visit in late September, it would give him a chance to inspire U.S. support against Russia with the kind of oratory the world has come to expect from Ukraine’s wartime President. It did not go as planned.

That afternoon, Zelensky’s meetings at the White House and the Pentagon delayed him by more than an hour, and when he finally arrived to begin his speech at 6:41 p.m., he looked distant and agitated. He relied on his wife, First Lady Olena Zelenska, to carry his message of resilience on the stage beside him, while his own delivery felt stilted, as though he wanted to get it over with. At one point, while handing out medals after the speech, he urged the organizer to hurry things along.

Update: Zelenskyy angry with allies and no longer optimistic, but continues to believe in Ukraine’s victory – Time (Ukrainska Pravda)

WNU Editor: The Russian press is having a field day on this Time article .... Zelensky ‘feels betrayed’ by West – Time (RT), and here .... Aides believe Zelensky is ‘delusional’ – Time (RT). There are also runors that Ukraine President Zelensky will be firing Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny .... As to what is my take.

The West is distancing itself away from the Russia - Ukraine war, and they are certainly distancing themselves from Ukraine President Zelensky.

  1. People in the west have actually been betrayed by their governments to fund this losers war. We have gained nothing in the end. Ukraine will cease to exist and Russia will bigger and with a much more powerful and capable military. If only it were Trump eh guys.

    2. People in the US are still surprised by this...they don't really comprehend world events because they don't spend the time reading that it requires.

  5. Look, dear Z

    1. You are not a democracy, you betrayed democratic principles long before AND during the war, to the extend that you even outlawed opposition parties and tortured and imprisoned opposing voices. WHY SHOULD WE DEFEND SOMETHING LIKE YOU?

    2. You target people who oppose your view IN OUR OWN COUNTRIES - respectfully, f you for doing that to us, you are not a legitimate president in my eyes after doing so

    3. Ukraine is soooo corrupt - even before the war, Ukraine ranked in the top 10-20 (depending on stats used) of the most corrupt nearly 200 countries, ie. bottom 10%

    4. You took so much of our money and threw parties.. no thanks..

    5. You did all kinds of shit to Russians, like torture, castration.. again, see point 3, you are not a legitimate president for allowing this and not more strongly punishing those among you who treated everyone like sub-animals (this goes to Russia too, ofc)

Overall - lots of decent good brave beautiful and smart people in Ukraine and you betrayed them all through your actions. The West has given you way more than you could ever ask for. Billions and billions and billions, and you squandered much of it.

It's over, and the failing TIME - who pushed so many wars on all of us - can go fck itself.

    1. Your an idiot. Russians support this conflict as they see it as an existential threat, which it is from NATO. Putin has support, and patience which is paying off big time as NATO is ditching Adolph Zelensky. Not sure how you think you can speak for over 100 million Russian citizens from your perspective. But that’s a common theme amongst progressives and liberals. They know best and everyone else is wrong and evil.
