Defense News: House passes Israel military aid bill
WASHINGTON ― The House on Thursday passed 226-196 a $14.3 billion Israel military aid bill mainly along party lines, with most Democrats objecting to the Internal Revenue Service cuts in the bill as they push to take up a larger package that also includes Ukraine assistance.
Democrats who voted against the bill stressed they still support military aid to Israel, even as several on the Armed Services Committee are starting to call for a humanitarian pause in the campaign in Gaza. Meanwhile, the Senate’s No. 2 Democrat, Dick Durbin of Illinois, became the first senator on Thursday to call for a ceasefire amid the high civilian death toll.

Senator DICK Durbin is also known as Turban Durbin
ReplyDeleteDick Durbin earned the nickname Turban Durbin when he compared U.S. soldiers to Nazis in 2005, a verbal example of Godwin’s law:
Limbaugh referred to Sen. Durbin as “Dick Turban”
Senator Turban is another one those who are lions at home and mice abroad.
He is utterly useless.
I hope Biden does veto the bill giving aid to Israel. If he does, it will assist his defeat in 2024 at the hand of Donald Trump and the Republicans.

Trump appointee who assaulted Capitol officers on Jan. 6 sentenced to nearly 6 years
ReplyDeleteBy Ryan J. Reilly 4-5 minutes 11/3/2023
WASHINGTON — A former Donald Trump political appointee at the State Department who tried to storm the Capitol and assaulted law enforcement officers on Jan. 6, 2021, was sentenced to 70 months in prison on Friday.
Federico Klein was arrested in March 2021 and convicted of eight felonies as well as misdemeanor offenses by U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden, also a Trump appointee, in July 2023 following a bench trial.
Klein did not speak during his sentencing hearing and declined to comment after the hearing when NBC News asked him if he continued to believe that the election was stolen and if he had any regrets about his actions that day.
Some Chinese general or spy chief was arrested for corruption a few years back. WNU commented that he was probably guilty of treason, but the authorities used the financial corruption charge to save face. Robert Heinlein would agree. It is the way the world works.
ReplyDeleteSo Eric Adams is up on charges soon. Or maybe they will magically disappear if he does not continue to make the Big Guy look bad. Adams made Biden look bad about the border crisis. Some people would think that the FBI knew this whole time of the financial transactions, but "chose" not to act until instructed by the White House.
It shows the American system does not act much differently than the Chinese system. George Orwell would comment "Duh!"
So why is Trump in the cross hairs? Because he is The Mule. He was not supposed to happen. They are all suppose to be like Turban Durbin and Schmuck (they can get you 5 ways to Sunday) Schumer. they are suppose to be good boys, take orders and play ball.

ReplyDeleteThe Dems are in a tough spot. There are a lot of Jews in Finance/Wall Street who cast their monies and votes toward the Democrats. (That is not meant to be a slander toward Jews it is just what is). Where many elections are won or lost by a narrow margin, Biden is going to cause the Dems to lose either the Muslim voting block or the Jewish voting block and money. People are very aware of voter fraud now and it will be tougher to overcome that loss of support through fraud.
The short reason he'll veto is because passing two separate aid bills, one for Israel & one for Ukraine, makes it too easy to hold them accountable. The D.C. establishment loves playing with mountains of money, which makes it easier for them to hide their fuckery.
