Nepal Says China Is Now Encroaching Into Their Territory

BBC: China encroaching along Nepal border - report 

A Nepalese government report leaked to the BBC accuses China of encroaching into Nepal along the two countries' shared border. 

It is the first time there have been official claims from Nepal of Chinese interference in its territory. 

The report was commissioned last September following claims that China has been trespassing in the district of Humla, in the far west of Nepal. 

China's embassy in Kathmandu denies there has been any encroachment. 

The Nepalese government has not yet responded to queries from the BBC. 

It is unclear why the report has not yet been published. 

But the Nepalese government has over recent years improved ties with China to counterbalance its long-standing relationship with India, its giant neighbour to the south.

China has illegally occupied Nepal`s land at several places spreading over seven bordering districts and Indian intelligence agencies have sounded an alert in New Delhi. 

New Delhi: China has illegally occupied Nepal`s land at several places spreading over seven bordering districts and Indian intelligence agencies have sounded an alert in New Delhi. 

The agencies have flagged that Beijing is fast moving forward and further pushing Nepali boundaries by encroaching more and more landmass. 

"The actual scenario could be worse as the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) is trying to shield the expansionist agenda of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)," an internal intelligence agency report pointed out. 

The report also talked about the Survey Department of Nepal flagging China`s attempts to grab land before Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli which was ignored. It stated that Nepali districts which are victims of China`s land-grabbing plan include Dolakha, Gorkha, Darchula, Humla, Sindhupalchowk, Sankhuwasabha and Rasuwa.
