Jeb Bush Talks About Donald Trump

Daily Mail: Jeb Bush says Trump will never build his Mexico wall and his believers will 'feel betrayed' – but he seems to think The Donald will win the White House

* Jeb Bush sat down with former White House communications director Nicolle Wallace for a conversation on MSNBC tonight
* Bush gave 'kudos' to Donald Trump - who he won't endorse - for 'manipulating the environment' to become the GOP's presumptive nominee
* The son and brother of a president said he wouldn't be voting for Trump nor Hilary Clinton in November this year
* The former Florida governor worried that Trump's election would lead to disappointment as the billionaire won't get his campaign promises done

Former GOP presidential hopeful Jeb Bush shared some rather dismal predictions for a Donald Trump presidency, but didn't discount that it could happen.

Bush sat down for his first conversation since Trump became the presumptive Republican nominee chatting with his brother's former White House communications director Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC.

The former Florida governor, who dropped his bid for the White House in February, on the night of the South Carolina primary, said voters will 'feel betrayed' by Trump because some of his campaign promises – from building a Mexican border wall to banning non-American Muslims from the country – would never materialize.

WNU Editor: Jeb Bush was the wrong candidate, with the wrong ideas, at the wrong time. A totally uninspiring candidate .... and what is even more remarkable is that even with all the money that they had .... no one really wanted to be seen near him.

Why Is Jeb Bush Still Running For The GOP Presidential Nomination?

Politico: Jeb Bush plummets in latest national poll

Trump and Carson continue to lead the GOP field.

Jeb Bush's support among Republicans nationally has plummeted to the low single digits in the latest Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday, as the former Florida governor's campaign seeks to hit refresh with its "Jeb Can Fix It" tour.

Donald Trump and Ben Carson, meanwhile, continued to lead the field, with Carson outperforming Hillary Clinton in a hypothetical general-election matchup.

In the latest poll, conducted after last week's third GOP debate in which Bush delivered a mediocre performance, just 4 percent of Republican and independent Republican-leaning voters said they would support Bush in their state's primary. In the September survey, Bush earned 10 percent, trailing Trump, Carson and Carly Fiorina. And in terms of favorability, no one polled lower than Bush, at a net-negative of 33 points. Just 25 percent of all registered voters surveyed said they had a positive opinion of him, while 58 percent said they had a negative one.

WNU Editor: It is hard to believe that only 6 months ago he was the man to beat .... and in places like Moscow and Beijing .... a good majority believed that he had a good chance on being the next President of the United States. Today .... if Jeb Bush wins the Republican Presidential nomination .... it would be one of the greatest political comebacks in U.S. history. But as it stands .... with the exception of the media and certain groups in the Republican party .... no one is interested in his message.

The Jeb Bush Campaign Has Collapsed

W. James Antle III, National Interest: The Jeb Bush Collapse Has Arrived

Bush may well hand the party establishment its first nomination loss since his father was beaten by Ronald Reagan in 1980.

Jeb Bush’s stunning collapse in Wednesday night’s debate was an apt symbol of the 2016 Republican presidential race so far.

For all the talk of the combined vote share going to candidates like Donald Trump and Ben Carson, individually they are polling little better than Pat Buchanan in 1996. The real story is the weakness of the Republican establishment, perfectly illustrated by Bush’s stunning ineptitude at connecting with the primary electorate either on the campaign trail or the debate stage.

WNU Editor: I have trouble seeing him succeed in this campaign. His message (whatever that is) is not resonating, and citing his past accomplishments as Governor is not impressing the Republican primary voter. And while I do expect him to continue to campaign ... and if recent leaked documents are any indication redoubling his efforts in January .... Jeb Bush's Campaign Blueprint (US News and Word Report) .... my advice to him is that even after spending tens of millions of dollars (and with the Bush name and organization behind him) that the best that he can do is get support levels at around 6% to 8% .... I fail to see how spending even more money is going to change anything.

Is Jeb Bush About To Quit The Race For U.S. President?

Ed Straker, American Thinker: Is Jeb about to quit?

What are the signs that a candidate is about to quit the race for president?

1) He holds an "emergency" meeting with top advisors at home base.

In Houston, former Presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush—and former First Lady Barbara Bush—will huddle with the third Bush family member seeking to ascend to the presidency, Jeb.

2) He radically cut staff because he's running out of money.

“The campaign is removing some senior staff from the payroll, parting ways with some consultants, and downsizing its Miami headquarters to save more than $1 million per month and cut payroll by 40 percent this week, according to Bush campaign officials who requested anonymity to speak about internal changes,” Bloomberg’s Mark Halperin and Michael Bender reported:

WNU Editor: I raised this question yesterday .... Is The Jeb Bush Campaign For The Republican Nomination For President Coming To A Close? My prediction now is that he will pull out around  Christmas - New Years Eve (or sooner).

Jeb Bush 'Flip-Flips' 'Knowing What We Know Now, He Would Not Have Invaded Iraq'

Reuters: Jeb Bush says 'knowing what we know now,' he would not have invaded Iraq

Republican Jeb Bush reversed field on Thursday after a week of criticism and said that based on information known now, he would not have launched the Iraq war carried out by his brother, former President George W. Bush.

Bush, who is expected to run for the Republican nomination, had told Fox News in an interview broadcast this week that "I would have" authorized the invasion that his brother carried out in 2003.

Without prompting, Bush addressed the issue on Thursday at a town hall event in Tempe.

"Knowing what we know now, I would have not engaged, I would have not gone into Iraq," the former Florida governor said.

Possible Republican Presidential Nominee Jeb Bush Praises President Obama's NSA Surveillance Programs

The Intercept: Jeb Bush Praises Obama’s Expansion of NSA Surveillance

One of the most glaring myths propagated by Washington — especially the two parties’ media loyalists — is that bipartisanship is basically impossible, that the two parties agree on so little, that they are constantly at each other’s throats over everything. As is so often the case for Washington partisan propaganda, the reality is exactly the opposite: from trade deals to Wall Street bailouts to a massive National Security and Penal State, the two parties are in full agreement on the bulk of the most significant D.C. policies (which is why the leading candidates of the two parties (from America’s two ruling royal families) will have the same funding base). But because policies that command the agreement of the two parties’ establishments are largely ignored by the D.C. press in favor of the issues where they have some disagreements, the illusion is created that they agree on nothing.
