WNU editor: Russian video-blogger Sergey Baklykov sums it up best .... Never saw Nevsky Prospect (Nevsky Avenue), the main street of Saint Petersburg, Russia like this - half-empty, nothing works except grocery stores and pharmacies. No museums, no churches, no street musicians. It may seem still many people are walking but it's not much at all compared to how usually busy it is.
The above video was made last week, and what I am seeing is 10% - 20% of the usual traffic that I am accustomed to. This morning one of my cousins who lives in Saint Petersburg told me that at 11:00 am local time, these same streets were completely empty of traffic and pedestrians.
