Newsweek: Biden Leaves Door Open for Ukraine to Receive U.S. ATACM Missile Systems
President Joe Biden has suggested that the U.S. could eventually supply Ukraine with a long-range missile system that Kyiv has been calling for to fight Russia's invasion.
The president made the remarks outside the White House on Monday when he was asked for his response to Russia stepping up its air attacks on Ukraine.
Biden said that the move by Russia was "not unexpected," adding, "that's why we got to continue to give Ukraine all that it needs."
He was then asked if he expected any movement on Sweden joining NATO, responding that it would be discussed "next week."
The exchange with reporters then touched on the possibility of Washington agreeing to give Ukraine the U.S.-made surface-to-surface Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS).

Russia may hit Britain as a warning to the USA. The same parliament which wants a war with Russia has cut the British armed forces to the extent that Britain is defenceless. Take out the 3 Royal Navy bases, the 4 or 5 RAF bases & a few power stations & oil refinaries & pretty soon there'll be shortages & disorder in the streets.
I have no doubt WNU is right that the reptiles in State and the White House have already determined to supply these, but the pentagon does have a say too. These missiles are way more important in the pacific theater. I know that Biden has folded on every single one of his red lines so far but we’re also making tons of promises to Taiwan right now, and it’s probably disastrous politics if we started delaying their equipment even more than we already have. Taiwan isnt a monolithic entity. The pro Beijing crowd is just as large and powerful as the pro Washington people, and if we continue treating Taiwan like a secondary concern to Ukraine we might find some of the people in the middle switching over to a more reliable beijing.
