So the Fed lowered interest rates in 2024 to help the incumbent US president and his handler Obama. Some of the rate easing or maybe all of it will be for naught, if rising oil prices counteract it.
Obama remains a military genius.
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden’s emerging strategy on Yemen aims to weaken the Houthi militants but stops well short of trying to defeat the group or directly address Iran, the Houthi’s main sponsor, raising risks of prolonged conflict, experts say."

A severe drought that began last year has forced authorities to slash ship crossings by 36% in the Panama Canal.
Russian Colonel Sergei Volkov was sent to prison for using standard issue Russian equipment. RU (RPTB) need to scapegoat someone so they blamed him for using low quality (i.e. standard) equipment.
If the equipment was maintained well or as good as the resources given to him and if the troops were trained to standard and if the equipment had an optimal placement, then it is no fault of the colonel's.
I think he will serve less than 1 year of his 6 year sentence. They will put him back in his old or similar position due to lack of officers (over 3,400 KIA) or they will give him the honor of leading a Z battalion full convicts.

"Volkov's attorney, Vladimir Andrusenko, previously told Tass that the Russian Guard purchased the Orel systems from a manufacturer who held a monopoly on the type of equipment the military was seeking. Volkov also argued that the systems were never intended to protect the Kerch Strait Bridge but instead were bought in order to protect the positions of naval guardsmen stationed in Crimea."
Putin bastards. What is a line officer doing making acquisitions. Do not the Russian have an acquisition corp? they would be responsible for testing. A Russian staff would be responsible for setting requirements. The acquisition professional run test at test grounds to make sure the equipment meet the specs given by the Russian general staff.
Russia... land of morons
And yet they're beating us. Really activates the almonds, huh?
