The recording is incriminating evidence in the investigation into classified documents kept by the former president in his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida
Federal prosecutors have obtained a recording of a meeting in the summer of 2021, in which former U.S. president Donald Trump acknowledges that he kept a classified Pentagon document about a possible attack on Iran, according to a report published Wednesday by CNN.
The recording is incriminating evidence against Trump, who has sometimes claimed that he declassified all the documents that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) found during the search of his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach (Florida).
According to the CNN report, which cites multiple sources familiar with the investigation, the recording indicates that Trump was aware that he withheld material classified as confidential after leaving the White House.
Trump’s comments suggested that he would like to share the information in the confidential documents, but recognized that his post-presidency ability to declassify records was limited, according to the exclusive.

WNU Editor: As President he had broad powers to decide what to declassify and what not to declassify. But opponents of the former President will still try to use this case to derail his bid for the White House, and his supporters will see this as another attempt by his opponents using the Justice Department to shut him out.
But this ignores a bigger story, and that story is that Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Mark Milley wrote up a report detailing his recommendation and plan to attack Iran.
Thank God then President Trump rejected this insane idea. But the problem that I see is that General Milley is still Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and if he recommended attacking Iran, what the hell is he recommending to President Biden right now when it comes to Russia?

Shares in DWAC had been hovering around $9 before Wednesday's announcement, before rising to $52 on Thursday and closing at $45.50. An incredible half a billion shares changed hands during regular market hours. Momentum continued on Friday despite five halts, as the stock opened at $118, hit a high of $175 despite momentum-breaking halts, only to close at $94.20 at the end of the day (dropping to nearly $80 after hours).

"You are not going to answer, but I have to ask, where are you in the process," Hannity said to Trump on Wednesday, regarding his decision on whether to mount another White House bid. "Let me ask you this, without giving the answer, what the answer is, have you made up your mind?"
“Yes,” Trump responded.

Donald Trump on Wednesday accused Joe Biden of capitulating to Russia, concluding that the president 'got nothing' from his meeting in Geneva with Vladimir Putin.
Trump said that, in addition to gaining nothing, Biden had given up the 'unbelievably valuable' Nord Stream pipeline.
The U.S. president last month lifted sanctions against the against the company and CEO behind the nearly completed Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which would transport natural gas from Russia to Germany.

The Hill: Trump knocks Biden timetable for Afghanistan withdrawal
Former President Trump called on President Biden on Sunday to have U.S. troops leave Afghanistan before his planned date of Sept. 11, declaring in a statement that the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks should remain a day of mourning.
In a statement, the former president wrote that the U.S. "can and should get out earlier" from Afghanistan and that Sept. 11 "should remain a day of reflection and remembrance honoring those great souls we lost."
"Getting out of Afghanistan is a wonderful and positive thing to do. I planned to withdraw on May 1st, and we should keep as close to that schedule as possible," said the former president.

Facebook and Instagram have removed Donald Trump's interview with his daughter-in-law Lara in another sign of the left-leaning Silicon Valley giant canceling the former president.
In the interview, Trump tore into social media and the mainstream media for suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story, he criticized President Biden's green agenda and railed against cancel culture which he said obliterates US culture.
It was for The Right View, Lara's show. During the 18-minute interview, Trump also spoke about running for President again in 2024.

One-Third Of U.S. Voters Say They Would Use A Social Media Platform Backed By Former President Trump
One-third of voters said they would use a social media platform that was backed by former President Trump, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.
By contrast, 54 percent of registered voters in the March 22-24 survey said they would not join such a platform while 16 percent said maybe.
Seventy-eight percent of Democratic respondents and 58 percent of independent respondents said they would not use a social media platform created by Trump.
On the other hand, 54 percent of Republican respondents said they would use a Trump-backed social media platform.

As for the other social media platforms.

Jason Miller tells Fox News' '#MediaBuzz' the platform will 'completely redefine the game'
Former President Donald Trump will be back on social media in the near future with his own service, according to one of his senior advisers.
Trump was banned from Twitter following the Jan. 6 Capitol riots. He had been a prolific poster on that platform before and during his presidency.
"I do think that we’re going to see President Trump returning to social media in probably about two or three months here, with his own platform," Trump senior adviser Jason Miller told Fox News' "#MediaBuzz" on Sunday. "And this is something that I think will be the hottest ticket in social media, it’s going to completely redefine the game, and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly President Trump does."

WASHINGTON — For much of the summer, the F.B.I. pursued a widening investigation into a Russian role in the American presidential campaign. Agents scrutinized advisers close to Donald J. Trump, looked for financial connections with Russian financial figures, searched for those involved in hacking the computers of Democrats, and even chased a lead — which they ultimately came to doubt — about a possible secret channel of email communication from the Trump Organization to a Russian bank.
Law enforcement officials say that none of the investigations so far have found any conclusive or direct link between Mr. Trump and the Russian government. And even the hacking into Democratic emails, F.B.I. and intelligence officials now believe, was aimed at disrupting the presidential election rather than electing Mr. Trump.
Hillary Clinton’s supporters, angry over what they regard as a lack of scrutiny of Mr. Trump by law enforcement officials, pushed for these investigations. In recent days they have also demanded that James B. Donald Trump went on the offensive against a military expert and former dean of the Army War College, Jeff McCausland, who said the Republican nominee’s comments this weekend about the battle to reclaim Mosul in Iraq show he doesn’t have a firm grasp of military strategy.
“You can tell your military expert that I’ll sit down and I’ll teach him a couple of things,” Trump told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in an exclusive interview.
On Sunday, Trump tweeted that the ongoing offensive against the ISIS stronghold of Mosul is turning out to be a “total disaster.”
“We gave them months of notice. U.S. is looking so dumb. VOTE TRUMP and WIN AGAIN!” he tweeted.
Trump doubled down on his assertion that the element of surprise is an important military strategy.
