The leader of Moldova's breakaway region said on Thursday that his government would appeal to the UN Security Council to probe a "terror" attack and ensure the security of Transnistria.
Pro-Russian authorities in the region earlier on Thursday accused Kyiv of planning such an attack, fueling fears of a spillover of the Ukraine conflict.
"I have already instructed the foreign minister to prepare appeals to all members of the UN Security Council," Transnistria leader Vadim Krasnoselsky told residents in a live broadcast, adding it was important to "look into this situation and ensure our safety."
He claimed that members of Ukraine's SBU security service were involved.
Wizz Air says it will suspend all flights to the Moldovan capital Chisinau from 14 March due to concerns about the safety of its airspace.
A Russian missile was fired over Moldovan airspace earlier this month.
Moldova's civil aviation authority called the airline's decision sudden and regrettable.
Moldova is one of Europe's poorest economies and has been heavily exposed to the war in Ukraine.
The airline said: "Safety of the passengers and crew remain Wizz Air's number one priority...
"Following the recent developments in Moldova and the elevated, but not imminent, risk in the country's airspace, Wizz Air has made the difficult but responsible decision to suspend all flights to Chisinau from 14 March."

Less than 24 hours after claiming Ukraine is preparing to carry out a false-flag attack in Transnistria, Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Thursday evening that it had detected a “significant build-up” of Ukrainian troops and military vehicles near the “Ukrainian-Transnistrian border.”
The operation that Moscow accused Ukraine of planning “poses a direct threat to the Russian peacekeeping force” in Transnistria, the Russian agency reported, vowing that Russia’s military will “respond appropriately” to the attack.
Ukraine is preparing an "armed provocation" against the breakaway region of Transnistria in neighboring Moldova and plans to "stage" an attack by Russian troops from the territory of the unrecognized republic, the Russian Defense Ministry said in its Telegram channel on Thursday.
"As a pretext for the invasion, the staging of a supposed attack by Russian troops from the territory of Transnistria is planned.
For this purpose, the Ukrainian saboteurs participating in the staged invasion will be disguised in the uniforms of the armed forces of the Russian Federation," the statement said.
The Russian Defense Ministry warned that it was "closely monitoring the situation" on the border between Ukraine and Transnistria — where some 1,500 Russian troops have been stationed since 1990 — and was "ready to respond to any changes in the situation."

Russia Says Ukraine Preparing To Invade The Breakaway Region Of Transnistria In The Coming Days
The Ukrainian Army has declared its readiness to help Moldova get rid of the 1500 Russian soldiers who illegally occupy Moldovan territory in Transnistria.
The statement was made by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov
The head of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence, Kyrylo Budanov, has said that Ukraine is ready to help Moldova with the de-occupation of Transnistrian territory.
Budanov said this on Friday during the nationwide joint 24/7 newscast, as reported by an Evropeiska Pravda correspondent.
"I support Moldova's desire to get rid of the occupying forces from its territory. And we as a state and as a special service will do everything to help a brotherly state get rid of the invaders from its land," he said.
