So What Was This Super Secret CIA Plot? (With Links)

I'm completely flabbergasted by this CIA program that the spooks supposedly lied to Congress about for the last eight years.

Apparently the program was initiated after 9/11, but the critics are still mum on what the nature of the program was. Now I want a little speculating here.

Our boy Bryant Jordan says he heard the program may center around an elite assassination squad that was put together of the Sept. 11 attacks and reported exclusively to then VP Cheney. I love that story, but it doesn't sound believable since Panetta only learned about it a few months ago and shut it down then.

My Comment: Here is my guess on what is this Top Secret CIA Program.

During the Second World War, Soviet leader Joseph Stalin set up a special operations group whose sole function was to target, capture and/or kill Adolf Hitler. This special operations group was only answerable to him, and when conducting operations were doing so with his sole authority.

It was this same group that led the investigation to discover Adolf Hitler's body, and to make a positive identification when discovered.

I know that there is a CIA desk that is dedicated to the capture/killing of Osama bin Laden, but I believe that the U.S. has also set up a special group (after 9/11) whose mandate is to also go after Osama Bin Laden and his closest lieutenants .... a group that would operate independently from the normal rules of conduct and chain of command .... and a group that would be answerable only to President Bush or Vice President Cheney.

Targeted Predator strikes in Pakistan is just one aspect of this program, as well as rendition programs and/or gathering information and intel on Al Qaeda leaders and their financial supporters .... all of these operations do not follow normal/permissable rules of conduct.

Hmmmmm .... the Soviet program was ultimately successfully in tracking down Adolf Hitler .... could such a group exist in tracking down Osama bin Laden .... I say why not. But if this story is true .... Democrats like CIA Director Panetta and other politicians woiuld want such a program to be shut down immediately (once they learned about it) since it would contravene rules of conduct and Congrressional oversight .... and no surprise .... this program .... whatever it really is .... has now been shut down.
