'Freedom Flotilla II' Set To Sail For Gaza From Turkey With A Turkish Naval Escort -- Jerusalem Post
Media report says activists – the same behind 2010’s ‘Mavi Marmara’ – scheduled to take off with Turkish military protection.
Amid Israel’s Operation Protective Edge to stop Hamas attacks from Gaza, a “Freedom Flotilla” is being organized in Turkey to bring humanitarian aid to the Hamas-controlled Palestinian coastal enclave with the protection of the Turkish military, according to an unconfirmed media report.
The flotilla, called “Freedom Flotilla II,” is being organized by the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), the same organization that was behind the Mavi Marmara flotilla that sought to break Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip in May 2010.
Israel Navy commandos boarded the ship, were attacked, and killed nine of the attackers.

There has not been as far as I know a "sail date" announced, but if they do go with Turkish naval escorts ordered and willing to take them into Gaza waters we will be on the edge of something big and very bad.

What will the flotilla bring? More rockets along with food?
It think tank mines along with anti tank weapons would be the most dangerous. Israel tries to minimize Palestinian civilian casualties unlike Hamas.
It would not be too hard for Hamas to canalize Israeli armor and put them in a kill zone.
I wonder if swine flu or something is going to break out in the U.S. due to Obama's illegal immigration.He'll blame congress of course for not providing the 3.& billion.
Point is that events are going to happen in the U.S. and around the world whether Obama wants them to or not (especially since he has not done anything about them for years.). when Obama has his hands full, people will do what they want.

It's easy to deny who did it and by the time you get any sort of 'proof', things are long since done and gone. They can immediately issue a condemnation of a terrorist act designed to make them look bad.
If they really wanted to go whole hog, they'd sink 2 at the same time. The Turks would have exactly 0 chance of stopping the attack or saving the ships.
If I were the captain of one of those vessels, I'd be expecting to be sunk and plan accordingly.

This isn't going to happen. The turks aren't that stupid. They are clearly playing to an internal audience to try and attempt this would create a military showdown with Israel and the U.S would force Turkey to stand down via NATO.

Don't know about this one. My guess is they only have food, medicine, etc., for their main purpose would be to publicly back down the Israelis. If the Israeli's are to do anything Orion's assumptions sound about the best. As for the armor, I'm sure the Israelis' and Hamas have thought about it alot, one to avoid ambushes of the sort Aizino's talking about and the other to try to make it happen.
What really concerns me is what the US will do about this flotilla. If the US or European (not to mention the Russians) navies get directly involved, then who knows? Especially with this Administration, who may support the Turkish flotilla in a show down (for the children you know).
In the past American presidents have been able to force Israel to stand down. Obama might be the 1st American President to unable to foe Israel to stand down.
How do you make an Islamicist like Erdogan stand down, when a person like Obama is telling him. What is there specifically about NATO that can cause it? For Israel there is 1 to 3 billion dollars in aid. For Turkey they is not such thing. For Israel there is the U.S.'s vote in the Security council. For Turkey there is no such thing.
Israel has more leverage with Turkey and Iran than Obama does.
With respect to Iran, Israel will play the Azeri card. Check the ethnicity of Iran out.
