Tehran’s top nuclear official, Iranian president’s brother to join talks in Vienna

VIENNA—The brother of Iranian President Hasan Rouhani and Tehran’s top nuclear official are joining negotiations with the U.S. in Austria on Tuesday, in a sign that more than 18 months of diplomacy is entering the final stages.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif left negotiations in Vienna on Sunday to confer with his government’s top leadership on the remaining issues that need to be resolved in order for Tehran to reach a landmark agreement on its nuclear program with world powers.

Iranian foreign ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham and a senior Iranian official on Monday night confirmed that Mr. Rouhani’s brother and close confidant, Hossein Fereydoun, and the chief of Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency, Ali Akbar Salehi, will join the Iranian delegation on Tuesday.

Of course it will be extended, and extended ad infinitum until they test their nuclear bomb and then an agreement will no longer be necessary, as if it ever was.
