Deadly Clashes In Mexico Between Striking Teachers And The Police



CNN: 6 killed in Mexico during clashes between residents, teachers and police

(CNN)Six people were killed when teacher protests turned violent in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, authorities said.

The clashes between teachers, state police and local residents also left 53 civilians and 55 police officers injured, according to the Oaxaca state government.

The violence came after seven days of street blockages and protests disrupting traffic on a major highway connecting Oaxaca to Mexico City, the government said.

Riot police tried to disperse the demonstrators Sunday, after which the clashes broke out.

Twenty-one people have been arrested so far.

Teachers are protesting reforms to the manner in which they are evaluated.

Mexico needs more of these kinds of protests, stop blaming Trump for your problems and go after the real culprits. This is one country that has no excuse to flounder around and squander it's vast resources for as long as it has, time to grow up.

The Mexican state oil company is probably as inefficient and corrupt as Petrobras.

There was a documentary on Netflix. It was kind reference this a little bit. It's worth a watch. Think it was called Cartel Land.
