Wall Street Journal: Trump’s First Weeks Leave Washington— and the White House Staff—Panting

President’s freewheeling style and a torrent of meetings and executive orders created turmoil, forcing him to clarify staff roles; ‘we’re cracking some eggs here’.

President Donald Trump wasn’t happy. Sitting behind his desk in the Oval Office, he looked at the top aides assembled around him and said: “This has to go better.”

As they spoke last weekend, protests were mushrooming at airports around the country, prompted by travel restrictions imposed by executive order on seven Muslim-majority countries deemed to pose terrorist threats.

The temporary ban had morphed into a public-relations debacle. Lawmakers were blindsided. Government agencies puzzled over its meaning. Travelers were plucked from lines as they were boarding airplanes.

WNU Editor: I do not know why the pundits and critics are surprised by President Trump's behavior. Anyone with half a brain would know that he would not operate in the manner and fashion that Washington and the political establishment operates in. To begin .... he is not even a part of the political establishment .... an outsider who has never tailored his CV to go into politics .... and on top of all of that .... he is someone who does not even care if he loses the next election .... as long his agenda is adopted. This is a mindset that is completely opposite of those who are in politics .... who see government as their career and future .... and will do what is necessary to not change their situation.

My prediction .... President Trump is not going to change .... he is a fanatic in getting what he wants and he has the will to do what is necessary to accomplish it .... and the first thing that he is going to do is deliver the promises that he made for those who voted for him. His opposition are also going to be relentless .... starting with the media .... and as we are now seeing .... activists organizing to protest his administration 24/7. But I do not expect President Trump's opponents to succeed .... he always fights back and he always makes his point of view known .... and more importantly he is the will to win .... this is a character that the mass majority Americans respect .... even if they disagree with him.

Update: They (like all previous administrations) will get their act together .... ‘We’ll do better’: Trump’s White House tries to gain a sense of order amid missteps (Washington Post). But for now enjoy the chaos.
