Reuters: Exclusive: Rosneft's Sechin flies to Venezuela, rebukes Maduro over oil shipments

WASHINGTON/MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - The head of Russian oil company Rosneft (ROSN.MM), Igor Sechin, flew to Caracas this week to meet Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and complain over delayed oil shipments designed to repay loans, two sources briefed on the conversation said on Saturday.

The visit, which was not publicly disclosed, is one of the clearest signs of strain between crisis-stricken Venezuela and its key financier Russia.

Over the last few years, Moscow has become Venezuela’s lender of last resort, with the Russian government and Rosneft handing Venezuela at least $17 billion in loans and credit lines since 2006, according to Reuters calculations.

State oil company PDVSA is repaying almost all of those debts with oil, but a meltdown in its oil industry has left it struggling to fulfill obligations.

Clearly Trump, who directed a mass increase in fracking and with that an oil price drop, caused this crisis and with that basically ruined Russia's chances to get their money back from Venezuela. Or, as CNN would have put it "Putin keeps winning" and "Trump is so stupid he probably isn't even fit for office".

Remember that narrative? For 2 years. 24/7.

When will CNN be investigated? What about their dealing with Turkey via CNN Turk? What about CNN's constant drive to promote China and to promote division in the US population? How come CNN always calls Putin a 5D chess player who "keeps winning", while Trump bitch-slaps him from Syria to Ukraine to Venezuela? Can someone please investigate them!? It's just not normal to be that misleading and divisive to the nation

Anon (2:00AM),

Your first paragraph is spot on. Essentially Trump has thus far been Putin's wordt nightmare and I do remember the narrative. As for CNN being investigated, you raise some interesting points. It kind of makes me wonder just who the Putin puppets really are.

Seldom that we agree with each other hehe but I give you this to ponder:

If something is bad for America, I get suspect about who's driving the agenda and why.

Sure, Trump - as I said many, many times - is vulgar and brash and lies (others would say "exaggerate") way too often. BUT ..the economy under him is fantastic. He's strengthened NATO, made the US energy independent and was able to weaponise fracking and oil against Iran,Russia and even Venezuela. No one has done that quite like him before. He gets out of terrible deals (Iran and Pakistan payments that did nothing for us), renegotiated Nafta successfully (notice how even cnn had no bad coverage on it? ), is challenging and fighting China. ..I love this man haha dragon blood energy..and he's doing prison Reform now. He's truly a president for all. He might have been a bit racist before - he's 74 after all, he grew up at a time when a bit of racism was normal. ..But he seems to understand the importance of fighting unfair prison sentences and wants people (often African Americans) able to get out of prison and back into society and get jobs. If he's still a bit racist (aren't we all? ) at heart that's fine with me - as long as his policies put all Americans first. I don't care if he doesn't invite Van Jones to his country club to hang out. I care that van Jones likes his prison reform. That's his job. Work for all Americans and make America great again. And he is succeeding. Despite all the resistance movement and saboteurs and political judges. We should get behind this guy, I've never seen a president work like that. .and I don't care if he swears a lot. It's his right of free speech and I'm OK to have a president who's a bit different. Sure, he doesn't practice polished speeches, but that saves him time to get work done. MAGA

All things would be good in our world if it were not for CNN...no wage gap, no segregation, no gun violence, no wars, no big dip in market, no global climate change, no bad health care and on and on. All the fault of CNN

They will pay up as soon as the US pays China what it owes

" go to China.. man, the stuff I have seen there.. "

I saw a black woman in China on her own . It may have been Chengdu. It is hard to discern a lot when you are a passenger in a bus riding by, but she seemed middle class and unperturbed.

Don't know if she was a tourist or on business. I know Asians are racists, so I was surprised to see her.

I guess it all depends on the year the political climate, the economic climate and what the MSM of the country wants to push.

There are many valid reasons journalism is called yellow and is in fact racist (& still is).

America will pay up when we can turn Democrat big wigs and mega donors upside down and have the money come out of their pockets.

It is the fault of CNN. They are lying and also preventing effective solutions in other cases.
