The Independent: Chinese 're-education camps' for Uighur Muslims run like 'concentration camps', says Amnesty
‘The scale is scary. We haven't seen in recent Chinese history that there would be such a scale of detaining people in camps in such huge numbers’
Mass re-education camps used to hold Uighur and other Muslim minorities in China are being run like “wartime concentration camps”, Amnesty has said.
Up to one million Uighurs, Kazakhs and other minorities have been arbitrarily detained in internment camps in the far-west Xinjiang region, according to human rights groups and a UN panel.
China maintains that it is detaining people guilty of minor crimes, and has sent them to “vocational centres” and that inmates are “grateful” to be there.
But Uighur activists have estimated up to 3 million people have been detained in the camps, Patrick Poon, China researcher at Amnesty International, told The Independent.

This is not a normal state nation we are dealing with.
It's a nation that has stolen trillions from us in IP, copyright & trademarks over the last decades. And they keep doing it.
It's a nation that has militarized the entire South China sea. Including international waters. Beating fishermen from other nation. Ramming ships on high seas, endangering all souls on board.
It's a nation that uses modern surveillance and scoring systems that make most dystopian sci-fi worlds look lame. A nation in which you become an outcase, sent to prison if you speak out against the party. A nation in which book dealers from Hong Kong were abducted, beaten and then paraded in front of TV admitting their mistakes of releasing books critic of the regime.
A nation with torture halls and sleep depreviation cells. In which also non-Chinese are put. UK were some of them.
A nation that has sworn in the entire army to Xi, who they made life-long ruler. If that swearing in of the army directly to the ruler reminds you of something, then you're right. Hitler Germany.

I'm. It worried, the Chinese have too much to lose if they decide to go to war. Too many combatants against them. Also, we only see a small portion of the military displayed in Vids and such, however their regular forces are NOT up to this task. Zero combat experience.

No. The world is too busy telling us how bad straws are. Or that Trump is impolite. 90% of airtime is Trump is bad, Putin and Xi are so smart. Common isn't it obvious thathat Zucker (ceo of cnn) works for them?
