Chaos In The U.S. Congress

Daily Mai: CHAOS! Pelosi paralyzes her own House when she WALKS OUT as Republicans demand her words calling Trump a 'racist' be stricken from the record and temporary chairman slams his gavel and 'abandons' his post

* The House voted to allow Speaker Nancy Pelosi to call Trump a 'racist'
* Republicans had asked for her remarks to be stricken from the record
* But the Democratic-controlled House voted in favor of the speaker
* 'These comments from the White House are disgraceful and disgusting and these comments are racist,' Pelosi said
* The House floor froze for over an hour as lawmakers debated over what to do after Pelosi made her comments and then walked out
* House guidelines specifically say 'remarks may not refer to the president' as a 'racist' or as 'having made a bigoted or racist statement'
* In an unprecedented move, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, who was presiding over the floor, dropped his gavel and announced 'I abandon the chair'

The debate over a Democratic resolution to condemn Donald Trump's tweets froze the House floor for over an hour Tuesday after a Republican lawmaker objected to Speaker Nancy Pelosi calling the president a 'racist.'

'I stand by my statement. I’m proud of the attention being called to it because what the president said was completely inappropriate,' Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol as the House voted whether or not to strike her remarks from the record.

The Democratically-controlled chamber sided with Pelosi and allowed her comment to stand: 190-232.

Pelosi took to the House floor Tuesday afternoon to criticize the president for repeatedly going after the 'squad' - four of young, Democratic, progressive lawmakers.

WNU Editor: I think people are getting tired of hearing one side always accusing the other side of being a racist/Nazi/etc. when they disagree. This has been the modus operandi of Democrats for years, and from what I have seen so far this afternoon, they certainly do not know how to handle it when they are now facing an opponent who fights back. As for this House vote, we are seeing Trump derangement syndrome on full display, so make some popcorn and enjoy the show.

A meaningless resolution to combat the "Racist in Chief". And they can't even do that without screwing it up. A predictable clown show. The Dems have now made these insufferable freshmen the face of their party.

Luckily for Trump the half-life of fake outrage is only about 48 hours - or until the next shiny thing in the news cycle.

Well said, Anon.

Whenever the Squad is talking, the Democrats are losing. And oh boy, are they gonna be loud and proud now!

They will annoy and disgust swing voters with their over the top arrogance and hate.

There are a lot of hypocritical people in this world. I wouldn't want to be a fly on the ceiling with that crowd when they're behind closed doors.
I must admit I love the ROI, return on investment; 5 cents gets back a dollar of silly howling.
Com'on now. Admit. When have politics been so fun?

Roger, I'm in complete agreement.
This is the most fun politics has been since, like, forever.
With three simple tweets (well, single messages delivered over three tweets), he exposes the dysfunctional Democrats and triggered them.
And through all this, where's Bernie?
Where's Biden?
Oh, that's right, they're representing the majority of Democrats who don't support the Squad.

Bernie does not represent most Democrats. He is yesterday's news. His support shifted to Warren.

I see a Warren /Harris ticket. Or Biden ticket with one of them.

I am not sure that Biden will win. He will probably lose. He has experienced a lot of cognitive decline lately. He might win push ups, but we do not pick presidents based push ups.

Has the house done anything other than be a thorn in America's side? Have they accomplished Anything!? Wow, they are all about words and insults; that's because they have no valid positions, they can't defend them so they attack instead - this should be our first clue they are wrong. The right answers are always defensive-able

Actually they have done their jobs and accomplished just what they were supposed to do, ensure a Trump victory and maybe in the process, hand the House and total control back to the Republicans. Remember Obama, the self admitted Republican lite who did basically the same thing.

"Remember Obama, the self admitted Republican lite who did basically the same thing."

Assertion without proof.

That statement is so risible that no one and I mean no one should ever listen to your ripe tripe ever again. You truly are a moron.

Anybody from a Westminster system democracy is amused by politicians being mere politicians. Why are Americans taking this seriously.
