The Independent: GCHQ targeting dyslexic and neurodiverse people in recruitment drive, spy chief says

'With the right mix of minds anything is possible, and dyslexics are definitely part of that mix.'

The nation’s intelligence services are directly looking to recruit people with dyslexia and other neurological differences, the head of GCHQ has confirmed.

Jeremy Fleming, the director of the wing of the intelligence service responsible for signals and digital intelligence, said neurodiverse employees were integral to the workings of the nation’s security services – adding that the agency has three times the national average of dyslexic people in its apprenticeship programmes.

Speaking at a conference put on by charity Made By Dyslexia, which also featured comments from Sir Richard Branson and health secretary Matt Hancock, Mr Fleming said: “With the right mix of minds anything is possible, and dyslexics are definitely part of that mix.

They are recruiting the people with dyslexia and other neurological issues in the hope it will help them determine exactly what it is Trump means when he opens his mouth and attempts to talk.

The wealthy had good reason to vote for Trump as in new found wealth. and they say you cant get water from a rock.

As for the rest of Americans who voted for him, those who are not wealthy that is, "dyslexia and other neurological" issues may well explain why people would vote against their own interests.

Will the farmers flock to him again? Time will tell of course, but in a second term, especially if he beats the rap regarding the impeachment issue, among all Americans both republicans and democrats alike, excluding of course the wealthy of both parties, there will be much weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Bob, your assumption that dyslexics are not intelligent is highly ignorant. Dyslexia does not correlate to intelligence, and in fact some of the best problem solving analysts are dyslexic, because this input disability forces them to creatively solve problems others do not have everyday. If Trump won the dyslexic vote, they probably understand something that a eugenicist throwback such as yourself does not. Some disabilities are actually a hard earned advantage, that is why this genetic diversity persists. It should be embraced and developed, not mocked by ignorant persons such as yourself.

Bob, after reading the second sentence of your last paragraph starting with "there" and ending with "teeth", may I suggest not attempting to open a crystal ball reading parlor?

Your fellow poster, Roger

the editor does crystal ball readings very often and tells us his gut feelings. But CHUDS must attack a comment they do not like because that is what chudders do. What is ok for the editor to do is ok also then for a commenting person to do...

You were the one that equated dyslexia with a lack of intelligence. And then you went on like the fool you are unnecessarily re-enforcing my point.

No one said dyslexics were not intelligent. If they were, I would not have dated one.

What was said or implied was that Bob & Fred were 'special' and so would have unique or specials insights.

Learn how to read special guy.
