I think DJT should go to the Marine base in CA, scene of another tragedy and more personal to most Americans.

You are right. Trump should at least recognize the men lost in that AAV.

That said, the US has actually provided three cargo planes full of supplies while Macron has so far provided only his weepy self while "pledging" aid in the future.

What Lebanon and Beirut both need is a political enema.
