another hysterical move on behalf of NATO.
A Task Force Smith might be all that is needed. But the is always the consideration of how thing shake out given President Kompromat
600 lol
Britain has disarmed its conventional forces. The army is less than 80,000 troops. There's about 16 destroyers & frigates, 6 or 7 subs total. A one shot battle navy. If the Russians wipe out that small airborne force, Britain cannot & will not do anything. To fight a war, you need big armed forces. Britain should stay out. Keep ducking 🙈
fatman
You do not get the idea of a Task Force Smith or outfitting a schooner with a 47 mm pea shooter.
Certification as a bona fide armchair general would be several steps up for you fatman
Lots of west pointers offering shrewd opinions here
Have you seen the West Point curriculum? Their analysis of the Battle of Adrianople is pedestrian and wrong. They teach military technology determinism. It makes sense now that graduates lose.
The bright point is TRADOC teaches that you want the good stuff, but if the enemy gets it first and you have a gap you can partially or totally negate their tech advantage with training and doctrine.
'Unknown' is correct, Britain's Armed Forces have been emasculated to the point of being ...pointless. Totally outgunned and incapable of defending themselves. A couple of thermobaric air bursts and the Paras at 600 number are toasted....gone in an instant. How pathetic as a military nation we are these days. Still, we're not wokey pussy donut dunkers like the 'mericans gho have some nice toys but wont use them as they've not been maintained or trained to use them.
