Now where is this coming from? Are the people of the Solomon Islands sick and tired of China's hold on their nation? Or is the CIA recruiting unrest and paying people to riot?

Good question. While I can't be 100% sure, it were a case of the CIA paying em to riot, Chinese leaders who infiltrated the CIA long ago already know who they are and will pay em more than the CIA can not to riot or will threaten them and their families with levels of destruction the CIA can't match if they do riot. Essentially we can most likely dismiss this as this being an action by US (un)intelligence.

As to what is going on, the Aussies have massive trade with China. Troops are being deployed to make sure this isn't undermined. Essentially the US leadership class wants a fight with China. Australia will not help them or us. Chinese trade is simply to important to their wellbeing.
