Is Russia's Military Build-Up Near Ukraine Different This Time?

Euronews: Russia's military build-up near Ukraine is different this time, say experts

Tensions have been rising again along the Russian-Ukrainian border, with Kyiv and Washington raising the alarm at what they say is an unusual build-up of Russian troops.

Ukraine’s defence ministry claimed earlier this month that about 90,000 Russian soldiers were stationed near their border and in rebel-controlled areas in Ukraine’s east.

Units of the Russian 41st army have remained in Yelnya, a town 260 kilometres north of the Ukrainian border, according to the ministry.

“What we see is a significant, large Russian military build-up. We see an unusual concentration of troops. And we know that Russia has been willing to use these types of military capabilities before to conduct aggressive actions against Ukraine,” said NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg last week.

One could create a decision tree and assign weights or probabilities.

Branch 1: The Russian buildup is different this time. I do not know hot to weight it given my lack of info due to not having spies, satellites, etc. other than to use the Delphi method, which will change from day to day.

Branch 2: This is child's play. Look at the mess the Democrat admin in the White House (Let's call it the Democrats and not the Biden White House for obvious reasons). They have messed up energy, immigrations, military and foreign policy. They are fucking up the culture and creating division as a matter of policy and as a tactic to win elections.

You have to give them at least a 30% chance that they are misreading this or using it as a means for money or power.

I think at this point the Russians think we Americans are going to get this right. Essentially hold accountable those responsible for electoral shenanigans and execute them where necessary. Stealing elections and attempting to do do so is treason. Treason is an executable offense.

Russia has issues with China as do we. Russia can handle the China problem without us and they will do so if/when necessary. They do not appreciate the current stupidity of our leadership class. Perhaps they have nostalgia for WW2 when we worked together to solve a common problem.

Obviously Russia was mission critical to winning WW2 in Europe. America was not. Thankfully we could take a "short cut" in the Pacific.

Ronald Regan once said "you can accomplish a great deal as long as you aren't worried about who gets credit." I'm pretty sure he was thinking about WW2 when he said tjis!!

Speaking of credit maybe Poster can speak to the Russian Rape of Romania?

Russian suffered greatly and did much to end the war but to dismiss America this way is a sure sign of a Russian troll
