The Telegraph: Prepare for Russian invasion of Ukraine, US warns European allies

The United States has warned European allies that Russia could be plotting to invade Ukraine in a repeat of the 2014 annexation of Crimea.

US officials have privately briefed EU counterparts on a possible military operation as tens of thousands of Russian troops amass near the border.

Senior Whitehall sources told The Telegraph the government was concerned at the reports and there was "twitchiness" and "anxiety" among officials.

It came amid heightened tensions as Vladimir Putin is accused of orchestrating a migration crisis on the border between Belarus and Poland to destabilise Europe.

On Thursday the Kremlin claimed it had scrambled a fighter jet to intercept a British spy plane operating in the Black Sea region

As to what is my take on a "possible" Russian invasion. If there was going to be a repeat of 2014, Russian and Ukraine social media will be abuzz with news and information and I will be posting on it 24/7.

As of the time of this post, a Russian invasion of Ukraine is not trending at all on any of these platforms and the people that I trust in both Russia and Ukraine are unconcerned.

Needless to say that this could all change within 24 hours, so I will closely monitor what is happening for the next few weeks and post any new developments.

Dems cannot leave Russia alone. Russia does do bad things, BUT

I think the Dems use Russia as a distraction from its stable of distractions they have.

Why would you invade a broken country.

O think you pretty much nailed it. The best that can be said for them is Russia seems to live rent free in their heads. When we allow someone to live rent free in our heads, poor decisions are probably being made.

Good question. The hordes crossing our borders are a de facto invading force.
