JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon has issued two groveling apologies a day after saying his firm would outlast China's Communist regime.
Speaking at Boston College on Tuesday, Dimon quipped: 'I was just in Hong Kong and I made a joke that the Communist Party is celebrating its hundredth year. So is JP Morgan. I'd make a bet we last longer.' 'I can't say that in China. They probably are listening anyway,' the 65-year-old banker added.

Furthermore, Mr. Dimon is one wealthy communist considering the billions of $$$ in bailout his bank has received.
Nobody loves government largesse more than those who decry others receiving some.
Dimon is a traitor, jail him.
His true position is likely that his bank will outlast the CCP. He's probably right. What he's said here is unlikely to have a material impact.
Perhaps he was intoxicated or something and revealed something we and the CCP already know in a forum where it shouldn't have been revealed. As things are currently, the CCP is stronger than JP Morgan. No one denies this. Unlike the CCP, JP Morgan like any long lived US corporation has faced down numerous enemies who were/are more powerful than they and have survived.
The smart money would generally be on JP Morgan over China and the CCP. Obviously Chinese leaders are acknowledging this by their hysterical reaction to this. The beliefs and actions of the JP Morgan CEO have not changed. There may be a change in tactics but what he said in his speech is unchanged and he's correct. JP Morgan will outlast the CCP IF there leaders are 1/10 as smart as they've been in the past. Given how stupid CCP leaders have been, they don't even need to be that smart!!
