U.S. intelligence assesses that Russia could be planning a multi-front offensive on Ukraine as early as next year, involving up to 175,000 troops.

Ukraine ought to be able to defend itself sufficiently that a tiny GDP nation like Russia would not invade.

Sell or give the right kinds of weapons to Ukraine so they can do the job.
MLRS
armed drones
surveillance drones
counter battery radar
secure command and control equipment
attack helicopters with anti tank missiles

Then lots of special forces training for infiltration, sniping and sabotage.

That would go along way to make Mr. Putin stand down.

But those armaments won't help, thanks to Merkel, the SDP and Putin ganging together to build NS2. Putin ought to push real hard because the harder he pushes the less gas goes to Germany during the winter. Germany will not endorse tough NATO joint action leaving it to the USA and a few other like minded Europeans to help Ukraine.

That bad splits NATO. Win-Win for Putin.

Go for it.
