RT: Russia’s Soviet-style hockey jerseys prove too much for Finnish ex-PM
Former Finnish Prime Minister Alexander Stubb has blasted Russia's decision to don kits in tribute to the USSR during recent ice hockey matches against his homeland.
Russia and Finland faced off at the 'Channel One Cup' in Moscow at the weekend, when the visitors beat their hosts 3-2 in overtime to win the competition outright.
The event serves as part of the warm-ups for the Winter Olympics in Beijing in February as well as the IHF World Championships in May, which the Finns will host in Tampere and Helsinki.

Yeah. I recall that Lake Placid didn't go so well for them with the blood red.

Great game.
This is a bad mistake because it will revive the fear of USSR and make the West more solid. It is a good help for us.
Finland should have protested by walking out, as would surely have been the case if they were playing the German team sporting Nazi "throwback" uniforrms.Too much to hope for, I guess.
