That's a fantastic photo the the US F-16. Probably the first ever attempt at a "stealth fighter". Its frontal section being smaller than that of a Ford Pinto and all.

The Israelis have a versions with dorsal spine and ventral fuel tanks, festooned with wing and fuselage pylons. Bristling with missiles. Proving how much you can dirty up the airplane and still fly and fight it.

The US versions look just like they did in 1978. Hopefully this fighter will get the same SLEP extensions that the B-52 (and A-10) has had.

The USAF still has about 900 of them.
