President Biden Is Avoiding Press Conferences

Daily Mail: Biden conducted fewer press conference than any of his five predecessors in Year One and has given fewer media interviews than six, according to new analysis

* President Joe Biden has given far fewer press conferences in his first year of presidency than his five predecessors

* Since taking office, Biden has held only nine formal press conference

* He has done 22 interviews with media in Year One – less than six of the presidents who preceded him

* Biden often answers a few questions after his public remarks instead of vying for formal press conferences or media interviews

Joe Biden has conducted far fewer press conferences than five of his immediate predecessors in his first year in office and has given less interviews with the media than the six presidents who served before him.

In Year One, President Biden has only given nine formal press conferences – six solo and three jointly with visiting foreign leaders.

He has also conducted 22 media interviews. By comparison, at this point in their respective presidencies Donald Trump conducted 21 press conferences, Barack Obama was at 27, George W. Bush at 19, Bill Clinton at 38 and George H. W. Bush at 31.

Update: Biden shied away from news conferences, interviews in Year 1 (AP)

WNU Editor: The optics of President Biden and the press in 2021 have not been good.

Avoiding answering questions while standing there smiling. Turning his back to all the reporters in a room while they are yelling questions. This is not what the public wants to see.

But President Biden's efforts to engage with the press have also not ended well.

I have lost count on how many times I have put up posts where President Biden's answer was confusing and/or needed to be clarified by the White House later in the day.

A prediction.

This handling of the press is going to continue in 2022, and there is a very real possibility that his interactions with the press will be even less .... even though this is an election year.

Well he got away with hiding on his basement during the Presidential election & rarely came out to campaign. When he did emerge, he played to very small crowds. The press supported him & covered for Biden. He was their man. They can't complain. Keep ducking 🙈

Best leader ever. Democratically elected. Nor a tyrant at all. And I say this voluntarily. And I just love how we are all doing underneath his steadfast leadership. Living freely and happily is overrated anyways. The world is overpopulated. So what if 6bn are marked for death, I'm sure for me they'll make an exemption. So I stick my arm out and not ask what's in the vaccine. It's good for me and it's good to obey. Stop asking questions about election irregularities or where all your wealth went.

Come on, man

average=27.2
std dev pop (before Biden)= 6.9

# std deviations = 2.6

Joe spent 25% of his presidency on vacation so far.

SOTUS will be interesting.

The press is adversarial toward Republicans Otherwise the average would be higher and the std dev tighter. i.e. Joe would be 3 or more std deviations out.

Joe was selected. NYC alone is able to steal 800,000 votes. Democrats can steal/win elections at will.

Joe was losing in the primaries until Jim Clyburn told his people, which way to vote. After that the fix was in throughout the primary season. SELECTED!
