Biden - the senile sack of excrement - will babble whatever words are scripted for him.
Jan 6 was trespassing and hooliganism. Not "insurrection", not "sedition", not "terrorism", not a "coup attempt". Just barely a riot if what you classify as a riot is what went on in Minneapolis and just about every other Democrat-run city.
It was collection of misdemeanors fabricated into "treason".
And the illegal and unconstitutional political persecution of the Jan 6 detainees needs to end.
Frankly I feel the Republicans should ignore biden with a simple reply for Americans; "Consider the source" and walk away from the political podium.

Last year they denied Trump more national guard and other law enforcement to protect the proceedings as illegal as they were.

I have heard many reasons why people have joined. You can join simply for self promotion and still catch the patriotism bug. But I bet that is declining. People have joined simply because they were gay and feared AIDS. They wanted lifetime healthcare. So often reasons for joining have little to do with defense of the country.
The military can survived that it can transform or cause people to grow.
In the current environment I can see the US military degrading enough for a new Hitler named Xi or someone to say "All we have do is kick in the door...."
